Looking back at this match at 2011 I can't believe how amazing Li Jia Wei was back then. She had excellent defense and attack, and her forehand never missed a shot (remember, she has pimples). Wang Chen is obviously not at her top form but she's still playing well. Looking at Li Jia Wei at 2011 is heartbreaking. I'm sure she feels it herself. So many shots that she misses now that would never be a problem back then. But some things are more important than tt, things like family for example.
China controls Singapore, too. That can be seen in something as small as sports. In the 2008 Olympics, China had everything set for it to win the Table Tennis Tournament. The Chinese head coach and the Singaporean head coach are brothers. Along with the Hong Kong team, their main purpose was to eradicate all obstacles preventing China to win the gold. China would still win it alone, but it would be a little harder without help from their puppets, two of the strongest teams in the world.
@mingcheng123 They wanna check if the ping pong is still fine enough to bounce or withstand power smash,if they find the ping pong weird,they can change it.
@Beanny46 We don't "hope"... Both players have a story behind them and they both deserve to have a shot at the olympic games. I'm just glad both of them played well so there are no regrets for both of them.
Wang Chen: After one year out of the sport, you never get a grip again at your reflects and footwork as before, although some may disagree. She was out speeded, she lost because of her reflex got slow
@mapledeathprince Whats a ping pong?
Oh, is it the ball?
WHY DO PEOPLE CALL THE BALL A PING PONG?
Ping pong is a trademarked game. Table tennis on the other hand...

You ask the players, they will tell you. (:

To ensure that the ball is not defective. A ball with even the slightest crack makes a very different, more hollow sound.
