  • never saw mike auldridge play a flattop, he ain't no slouch there, either.

  • It seems lilke he is playing in a different tuning. When he holds the bar straight across the strings you can hear a sixth in the chord.

  • Mike is a great Pedal Steel player also. I was watching Mike watching Randy.......intently! What a great clip, thanks.

  • The tuning is dobro G tuning.......Randy Beavers is one of the finest pedal steel players.....so his style is different than a "dobro" player.....you'll notice that he rarely lifts the bar......and he's playing mostly single string....being a pedal player, he's well versed in C6, so he knows his way around western swing.....

  • This is brilliant. I've never heard a six-string played this way. Any idea what the tuning is? G6? C6?
