  • You need to tie these on a larger hook. I these with a 1/0. With such a small hook you will miss a lot of hook sets.

  • looks like my wife's nipple :D I'd bite it too, if i were a fish

  • Looks good! How much Weed did that take to come up with? Thats some good stuff.

  • you forgot the eyes...lol

  • @Rvyelp That,s an option :)

  • thats awsome

  • best top water bait for pond fishing

  • OK, saw a previous post about soaking up water. I tied some of the flared type and the cone type. Cone type soaked up water pretty fast. Flared type like this didn't for a long time, and when it did, just squeeze it out.

  • I tied some of these the other night for a smallmouth trip that ended up not happening for me. However, on a pond this morning I got two vicious largemouth strikes this morning, but couldn't get a hook set. Maybe need a bigger hook?

  • this is cool lol i have tons of these ear plugs

  • i actually thought it would be crap be the video name, but at the end it actually looks really good

  • this is cool, i made one of these back in the day. i have videos of me making lures, go to my channel and see them 5/5

  • you should make a video of u fishing with this that'd be awesome

  • I tryed it in a small bass pond and the agression was scary

  • i made one of these years back with an earplug similar to this,, looked great and everything,,, but when i used it the thing soaked up alot of water and grew half a size bigger,,basically turned into a orange blob... I havent tried it since, but i thought maybe coating it with something to make it water resistant,,, How has this worked for everyone else??

  • This one was tyied with a rubber earplug, coating could help a foam one?

  • i coated it with some waterproof liquid bandage

  • 10/10 im gonna much a shit load of these awsome will let you know how they go on my local bream population

  • Cool..good luck.

  • very awesome. I need to find some stuff around the house to make some flys with now !

  • hot melt glue would do better holding the earplug on, and it would finish smoother.

  • I agree on holding the earplug on,but a smoother finish is not importent as a rougher surface will cause more water action.

  • im bout to go and try this out

  • dos it works???

  • very innovative, do you have footage of the popper in action.

  • Very innovative! You bet I'll try this one.

  • This is a nice looking popper. You did a great job with the video.

  • Thanks,much appricated.

  • Great, let me know how you make out.

  • i liked this idea, i have changed it a little but initial tests show that it will float correctly and land on the water corectly every time. i hope to test it on fish very soon. thanks

  • Brilliant!

  • i dont understand wat the hell all this was

  • I like fly tying,and I'm earplug collector. It's really good idea, isn't it :-)
