My Great Uncle was killed in this war. He was a radio man. His patrol was ambushed. He kept trying to call in artillery strikes until he died. Thank you for this video.
Please don't make rash comments at this video.. This is a tribute...
I am a 14 year old guy from The Netherlands. A while ago I saw another tribute video about the vietnam war. I'm intregued with it, and I have much respect for all the soldiers that died during that war. I don't know how to explain it but this video just gives a tear to my eye. Great video ;)
what is wrong with this generation? not a damn thing... it's men who served...n' men that remember... them.... ya serve your country...to honor it n' continue to let freedom ring...we all make a choice USMC 1969-72
Could you please one and all give the reason and purpose for the war in Vietnam or at least what you think it was for; I am clueless. Thank you all so much.
I searched for a while finding this BIOHAX that everyone has been writing about. I found his comment. I think he's a white collar, sit behind a desk fucking asshole. I didn't lose a toe in Panama to have some asswipe arm chair quarterbacking Nam. GOD BLESS YOUR FATHER & FAMILY 4ever duck fan, and EVERY other brother & sister that has served in these God awful wars. Duty calls, WE GO! I guess only certain AMERICANS agree. Thats why we fought. to give people a right to disagree! CIVILLY. X-ARMY
I am an 2x OIF Vet and I would like to take the time to thank the Vietnam Vets for being the first to welcome us home and the first to block the protesters so that what happened to them never happened to us. Thank you to all Vets but esspecially the Vietnam Vets!!!
great clip but i just need to piont out that there are men wearing full camo gear they are Australian SASR you ask how can i tell the man second from the left has a FLN rifle witch is standard issue for the Australian army in Vietnam.
Get On Brother!!!!!!!!! Rangers Lead The Way!!! Thank you!! Had your Father not served or Lead the way, we would not be here at all..............!!!!!!!!! Get on and keep the rubber side down!
My father was in the US Navy in Vietnam he also had PTSD he passed away in 06 because of his exposher to "Agent Orange" god bless those who died and those who are still at war in vietnam(P.T.S.D)
Daughter, sister, niece, cousin of Veterans. USAF Veteran, myself. None of us were in 'Nam, but I made a promise long ago: to thank every Vietnam Veteran I meet and welcome them home. They didn't get the 'welcome home' they so rightfully deserved. Thank your Dad for his service and give him a hug for me, would you? My Daddy died last year. I miss him. :( 5/5 stars.
And a Happy Hanukkah! My Neighbor is a Vietnam vet, he came up from the U.S. to Canada (Which is where i'm from) ((booya!)) and he is SO messed up. He pours gasoline down fox's holes and mames and tortures birds.
@stormspinner1 I know just what your dad is going is going through. I am having the same trouble with the V.A. they have a bunch of incompant people working there, who get paid for screwing the vet. They could be the ones that us baby killers for all I know'
quit the rhetoric and look at the facts. we lost that war. our boys were sent to fight a war that was never about our safety. the war was based on the delusions of mccarthyism and the over-reaching military industrial complex.
their sacrifices means nothing unless we make sure it never happens again.
being american means having a distrust of big government. spewing out propaganda like "they hate our freedoms" whitewashes the ultimate sacrifice people have made for real issues in our country.
We where trying to stop the spread of communism and save millions of people from the viles of communism. All you anti war protester have a lot of blood on your hands millions of south Vietnamese and Cambodians where slaughtered after the US left Vietnam. But you wont ever talk about that you little bitch.
Instead of insulting him you could pay your respects to his father who served for his country. What's wrong with your generation? you don't even respect vets.
@biohax The video is to salute Vietnam vets...nobody is thinking about them "getting left high and dry by the system"...The point is this video was for all who served then and showing how grateful he/we all are for there braveness to fight for our country. My fiance fought in Vietnam and he's not sitting around dwelling on how unfair the system treated us...instead he salutes the flag everyday with head held high. They know they got screwed, they certainly don't need a reminder of that.. Thanks!

I imagine your dad is equally as proud of you! what a wonderful tribute. My husband also fought in Nam. He too was wounded more than once. He has a hearing problem as a bomb exploded next to him killing his good buddy. He was 2 weeks in a medic unit and the VVA has no record of that either. Tell your dad to keep fighting the VVA! Great video!
The idiot wowweekin keeps spending his days on his computer writing trash and vulgar language to all who tribute any US soldier. Ignore him!
The process can be hard. My law firm helps vets & spouses apply for the aid & attendance pension which is the ONLY VA pension we handle. Great vid. Thanks for posting. I was a senior in high school when US pulled out and was scared but willing to serve... I had several friends and a couple of neighbor guys who went to Nam. Luckily they all came back, but I saw 19 year old guys who looked 40 when they returned. God Bless ALL who served in Vietnam!

The real heroes of Vietnam were the draft evaders.
I wish they would bring back the draft. I would of course evade it, and post videos of my living the sweet life as drafted fuckups get killed.
