my plugs are 1/2 inch and when i was at 00 mine were always geting nasty just over night but i kept them in and now they dont get nasty like they used too. goodluck--

ahh, seems like you got a case of classic ''ear cheese''...you get em when after you take a shower and its the inside of the ear absorbing the water around the guage, and if its not that, wost case senario, is just keep em dry, like a paper towl and throughly clean the hole, i used baby powder (small, small ammount) and a q-tip, and if all fails, see a doctor or call a registered nurse

Alright, so explain that again? It definitely sounds like it's from the shower, so should I take them out when I shower and dry my ears before I put them back in?

well what i do is. maby twice a week while im in the shower i take all of my piercings out( eyebrow, n ears are a 5 guage) hold them up a basicaly rub them clean, take a clean washcloth and gently try to clean the inside and outside, DO NOT RUB THEM RAW, lol it makes your lobe start to fester. kida gross but it would be the same effect by rubbing a soggy scab, lol then after you clean the ear(i dont use soap on em btw) carefully put them back in and dry both ear and guage completly when done

Wooden ones don't smell for some reason. You should try those. But wash them with rubbing alcohol or I think it's actually called Hydrogen Peroxide. Wash it with that every day, and take a Q-tip and wash your ear. It doesn't keep the smell away for long but it keeps infection out.

I have wooden ones now, they still smell when I take them out, but that's it :)

There's nothing wrong with your ears if they smell, I've had spacers since I was in grade 7 or 8, which is a while ago now. They usually always smell, some more than others. It's because of the dead skin cells. It doesn't mean there not healing, it's just cause your body is pushing off the dead skin cells, which does staaaankkk. Just clean them with what I said below. :) Mine are 00 too. :) Good luck.

I have spaced ears, and mine smell like Beer nuts. Honestly, sea salt does nothing. Your best bet is to buy the bone marrow ones. However, to get rid of the smell till you can afford new ones, you should mix equal parts peroxide and sea salt, then after wards, clean inside your ear with a scented (not to scenty though) cream. Be generous. Let it sit for 5 minutes, just long enough to clear out the dead skin cells, and then wash over the whole, put the spacers back in (after being dried) :)

my nephew had the same problem with his ears, he was working at walmart and needed a better job so he had them surgically sew the ears back together, he had a huge hole in his ear lol. (for reasons unknown i have a nephew who is 21 when im only 14)

plastic/acrylic(sp?) is very bad for your ears, and that could be why they havent or didnt heal right. metal and wood are good for your ears, but to help them heal use calcium lube when you go up a size or just occasionally. neosporen works good too.

btw, will say i was like 'holy shit' when i saw you ear (how many piercings is that anyways?) but i think its pretty badass and looks alright. =)

hey i had the same problem im 17 and it took me years too figure it out all u have to do is as soon as u get some money buy organic earring like flares plugs so on and it can either reduce or completely get rid of the ooze and smell

How fast did you stretch them?

Get some stainless steel ones, or organic ones (Wood, bone etc)

I found that my ears weep bad and smell when i wear Acrlyic (Plastic) or rubber.

While, I'm not a fan of them for me, and I think they're like tatoos nice now, going to be gross when you get older, it's not unfair that jobs don't like them. They have a certain image they want to put forward and your body alterations aren't part of them. Everything you do on the job is part of an Image they want, it's no different than making you dress in a uniform or not having a hat on while on the clock.

I believe it is a form of self-expression as well. Self-mutilation is cutting and such. Piercing and tattoo work has been symbolic, historically spiritual, and self-expressive. However, there is no reason not to change the piercing types if one does not work for you. Self-expression is the key.

So...idk what to do. I sent her an e-mail a couple days ago ALSO asking for a tragus & eyebrow piercing and she totally flipped out, and she was all "I was actually THINKING about letting you get the industrial, but now that you're asking for more, I'm not gonna let you get any, I won't let you mutilate yourself."

lmao...I'd love to, but I think it's better to not get the piercing, than to get it done unprofessionally. Idk what the law is in Canada, but in the US you can't get a piercing without a parent's consent until you're 18. Which is sooooooooo stupid.

I think you should cut your ear off and go and find someone with an ear that you like!...cut their ear off and just clue or stick it on to yours somehow! make sure you get the same sided ear tho, you dont wanna look silly now! infact, forget what i said, im not 100% sure it will work, im only 99% sure!
