Being a little scary is one thing. However in the last book Eric turned into a first class SOB.If you read the whole series carefully, the only time he's likable is when his memory is wiped. Eric is what he was raised to be--a barbarian thug.(no rotten tomatoes please, I come from Viking stock)

@SilencedByGreed First of all, I have read ALL of the books. Second, in True Blood remember the scene where Sookie is being chasing by Rene? Bill does not know anything about fairy blood but in order to save Sookie HE WALKS INTO THE SUN. Knowing he would die. He only wanted to save Sookie. When Eric does something similar I might be impressed. Until then, he's just eye candy.
