FYI, in this video, Lesne describes himself as a "haute-contre" which is different than the countertenor : the haute contre uses both "normal" and falsetto voice.

Lesne's voice sometimes reminds me of James Bowman's, but with more control and better diction and more variety overall. But a similar sort of colour, albeit more continental!
