Of course you should do this if you really want! And does it matter if it takes you a whole week? I don't think it would. Just make it, you can do it, I made it from scratch without any tutorial and I made this video to teach you how to make it yourself.

Only minus in this costume is that if you wear it long, it would hurt your arm (the metal parts). But have luck and fun making this if you will do it. :)

Really? Well, I have never seen anything else than this kind of can opener before. Maybe they don't sell these in America, where you use those pliers. This Finnish can opener is much more simple and work just as well, I don't know if even faster.

I used duct tape actually, but skin glue is better. They sell it in carnevale stores.

Ähh. The left is the hand part, the part right from it is the part that goes over it. It has a hole for thumb and the two thumb pieces are on top of it.

I wrote that it took approximately five hours, in the end credits. But I'm not really sure, since I didn't take time too well. Sometimes I take, sometimes not so much. Long the costumes always take. Many hours in a day or two.

Hahaha! Prom costume, nice! You might want to soften the edges of the rerebrace with something, like leather.

Otherwise I guarantee you can't wear it all night! I wore it about an hour at a time and I had a duct taped pieces of foam sheet in the lower edge of the rerebrace, but they didn't stay well in place. It was painful to wear, but if you get the edge softenings stay, it's all right.

Or then you might want to make the rerebrace from some not so heavy and hard material with not so sharp edges, cardboard tube would be fine.

Like "Gaga spreads glue over Herself and rolls on random things", I made that hat! It is compiled from a large piece of black fabric left off of some cape, a childs witch hat with black and grey fake hair and a golf chipping target on the top.
