I understand why everyone is buying into this. Many of us are in debt and we want someone to tell us its ok not to pay our bills. But we know that its not ok. We know that we sign contracts agreeing to pay later for goods and services recieved. Then later comes and we can't adhere to the agreement. The creditor, however, can and does. Does he really intend to use this recording as evidence on his behalf? Who do you think the judge is going to feel was more "harassed" after listening to this phone call? I understand why everyone is buying into this. Many of us are in debt and we want someone to tell us its ok not to pay our bills. But we know that its not ok. We know that we sign contracts agreeing to pay later for goods and services recieved. Then later comes and we can't adhere to the agreement. The creditor, however, can and does. This results in everything from letters to liens and should come as no surprise because WE signed for it. Best way to stop a bill collector, PAY YOUR BILL!

Someone need to put an end to debt collection agencies. They seek debts for unjust enrichment and steal your identity from a software that gives away citizens Social Security numbers and by debts for pennies on a dollar.

Rainy809-The problem is collection agencies will hire anyone with a pulse. It takes no skills to get on the phone and beg for money. 99% of these morons have worst credit than the people they are calling due in part to the hourly average rate for a collector is 11.00hr. 93% never finished high school and 89% would test positive for illegal substances. The fact there are so many other jobs that pay 11.00 and dont require you be an asshole shows these people are just mean hearted.

You people are so one dimensional its pathetic. Not everyone who has an opinion of the lowly debt collector has one calling him/her.
