The original is from the 1978 Indian movie 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' which is essentially a Hindu bhajan (a hindu prayer).

The translation is in next post. U can search for 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' in youtube for the original version. The movie was controversial for it showed a scantily clad Zeenat Aman (heroine) praying and that did not well with a lot of people.

Controversies apart the song is a genious, and its meaning is universal, be it egypt, India or US.

Does this mean African countries who speak French or English should call themselves 'Latin' because they use Latin text???
