  • love the video man

  • love the video really good

  • Living in space reminded me of how mammals living in barrows. with tunnels interconnected going from one station to another.

  • why store trash, whats wrong with launching it into space?

  • The part about the asparagus floating away cracked me up :P

  • 10 minutes to hydrate, 20 minutes to warm... FUCK THAT lol i'll drink Tang and eat cold tuna in space. I'd rather spend those 20 minutes spinning in zero-g or playing with water or some shit.

  • Look at the watch on his arm...its moving all time just with small shakes rofl

  • at 8:55 does the sign say "28000 km/h" or is that just me?

  • @rab236 need for speed under space station.

  • @rab236 No, you're right.

  • @rab236 It's because of the limited visibility in the duct ahead, the sign is a (fun) way to tell the astronauts to slow down, so they don't hit each other coming around the corner.

  • @atheos93 Ah. That would explain it. Thanks.

  • floating in space? time to drink our piss....... :P it would have been funny to see the asparagus floating past in the video after he said he lost it

  • This made me want M&Ms

  • anyone noticed the speed limit signs

  • I love it how the sound of the engine, fan e.t.c in the video matches up with the sound from my computer.. They're synchronously going bzzzzzzzzz

  • modern astronomy is still at an infant stage......still learning how to eat properly!

  • i cant hear anything

  • these guys are fucked when they come back to gravity, they will feel everything 3x heavier than we do

  • Nice, but about rubbish))))

  • I love this VDO

  • Hey Commander Kelly, try making some popcorn. LOL

  • When you got the to food warming suitcase, I started thinking "this must be what a pre-Industrial Age person would feel like if they were transported to the present time, and found out that we now eat by taking 'food' out of a cold cabinet and sticking it in a loud humming metal box"

  • so tight. how hard is it to get where hes at?

  • Hahaha The random guy at 10:48 xD

  • space food sucks

  • "The water that produced from our urine actually taste better than any top water i ever taste in the United States"

    Uncle Sam is very dissappointed.

  • @HungryGreeny "Tap" Not "Top" TAP Like From The Sink...Which is Filled with Germs...

  • what do chewed up peanut bits feel like in your mouth in micrograv...

  • they must give you guys more then just fox news. i mean thats what i'm getting from the audio, but never mind. i would love to join you guys and have that view of the world. have a good one

  • OMG....so mechanic food ..lolzzz :)

  • everythings more fun in zeroG

  • How do u use the restroom???? Lol

  • @Gizzardnum1

You pee into a tube. Totally serious.

  • If the dried peaches are like the ones in the MRE's then eat them without hydrating them. Really tasty as your saliva hydrates them and they are crunchy. Just remembering from my days as a soldier in the Army.

  • awesome!!! much respect to you and all of your crews, sir.

  • He seems distracted, and having some difficulties with articulation.

Is this an effect of zero gravity on linguistic/mental capacity, or is he just tired/not skilled in language use?

  • Disclose E.T contact info. Stop the killings/slayings.

  • Why do you store trash for it to go back to earth and be buried in the ground or burned up so pollutes the planet?

  • @pbrew85 Where do you think it should go? lol

  • @wowownzu Out into space... pretty sure it would burn up in some suns atmosphere eventually.

  • all the crew are very nice people. I like very much Paolo Nespoli off course because i am Italiano but the others too are very good people, scott kelly the commander is very interesting when talks.

  • show us a triple backflip in space

  • Don't play with your food :P

  • I would want to like bring some Ozarkas instead of drink water from my body :/ But I guess if it's clean it's fine...just not sure I could do it. I'm a wimp :P Although it's probably worth it to be in space!

    lol at the asparagus XD

Is it like impossible to stain your clothes with food in space???

OH MY GOSH I WANT TO EAT M&MS IN SPACE!!! :D

Man living on the ISS looks like all kinds of awesome.

  • Bear Grylls: Floating inside the iss, better drink my own piss

  • Question, do you all eat in diffrent places, the russians in Zvesta and the US in the labb or do you all meet at the same time and have a dinner like setup?

  • Really really interesting! Pleased you get M&Ms on the ISS too!! :D

  • TROUBLE ON SKY SOS

  • looks to me like a stoners living, unorganized and eating all the time :)

  • @dshaffer1200 It's probably not in 720P because (I'll bet) he edited and posted the video to YouTube himself through the ship's Internet connection. Those guys don't waste anything. Not even bandwidth.

  • Hmm, zero gravity and still pulling up his pants :P

  • They say the sky is the limit, well not for him, he's eating lunch in space.

    Fuck that's so cool

  • At least they dont have to worry about dropping the food, it just floats.

holy shit it would be the best thing ever to be an astronaut

  • I really enjoyed that very much. Thank you! I have always wondered about that and it is amazing. Good Job!

I wonder if the broadcast of the 'OBAMA' news segment was done on purpose?

I noticed that there were devices, oven and water dispenser on the walls, ceiling. I suppose it wouldn't matter where anything was as 'relatively speaking' it doesn't matter where up is. Do you have a sense of up / down, or being up side down?

  • You should reconsider your titles, like... TONIGHT WE DINE IN SPACE!

  • wow. how cool.. thank you for posting

  • u fly alone???????/

  • Wow! What an experience to have lunch in 0 g and so far from anywhere.

  • lol Load 11:34 ''OUR PROADCAST TONIGHT! :O''

  • Next year I'm askin' Santa for a "suitcase" 'cause I've been burning the crap out of food for 20 years tryin' to use an oven. I wonder if they come with an astronaut?

  • Got a question about laundry. If you take smelly socks and underwear, put them in a mesh laundry bag, and leave them in the vacuum of space for a few hours, will the smelly chemicals and bacteria evaporate or float away from the clothing?

  • @ReelNASA If an Astronaut or Kosmonaut has his/her birthday at the station......is then Alcohol send up with shuttle/progress or it is strictly prohibited'?

  • @nowmyway

I think alcohol consumption is restricted..

  • 9:48 some random guy casually flies by.

  • A suitcase with elements, haha. The ghetto side of space exploration; way to go NASA.

  • Please Make More, never seen this kind of interesting video before.

  • Man, I can't wait until some private companies go up and build stuff like this, so I might get a chance in my life to do this someday.

  • Love these videos!

    Thanks!

  • "And here's the bar, at the end of the day I have an ice cold Bud Light."

  • After a while I just started listening to the news.

  • mmm radioactive food.. so healthy

  • i love these videos aswell... keep them coming! If they have time they should bring up some psychedelic mushrooms or the like to have some fun. yeah, I know they aint up there for fun. but that would really be a neat experiment. hehe... and wow, they do have quite a nice menu. almost better than mine at the moment.

  • Amazing!!!!

  • We MUST get an update on that floating Asparagus! LOL. It's an IFA......"Identified Flying Asparagus"

Maybe the next ISS update will mention it .. :)

  • Tutto interessante !!

  • I ate one of those MRE meals once, and boy was that a challenge. Only the bread was edible. When the ISS inhabitants return to Earth I'm sure the first thing they'll do is go hit up a Golden Corral or something :)

  • Great stuff! Keep them coming!

  • it would be amazing to be able to be in near weightlessness

  • Big thanks to these men and women for their contribution to the advancement of humankind.

  • If I had to drink recycled urine I'd lose the asparagus too.

  • This guy is the Chuck Norris of space

  • lol for no gravity. :D

  • It's fun to see how different everyday experiences are so different in the space station.

    Excellent video!

  • Just shows you how different life can be away from the Earth and what you need to do to survive.

  • this is great !

  • only in space is eating interesting

  • great video

  • these videos show us how un-glamorous being an astronaut really is... salute you guys up there!

  • Thanks so much for these videos. really really interesting.

Keep it up when you have time!

    Thanks.

  • I love this!!!! Can I go?!!!!!!!!!! Please :(

  • love this stuff... more more!

  • Another great video. These are aspects of life up there that we don't commonly hear about, and feeding oneself is more involved than we would think. Funny about the asparagus just floating away. How often does our food escape and disappear down here? And then, too, we don't have the game of turning our dessert loose in the air and chasing it.

Thanks to Commander Kelly and the crew for sharing some of the adventure with us!

  • Great video! It is always super interesting to see how stuff woks up in space :D

    Keep em coming! :)

  • listening to the audio.. the background noise is awefull... i hope you can remain sane with that constant noise in your ears :)

  • @konsul2006 i think after a while you would get used to it

  • No worries about the last asparagus; you can always go to the supermark--owait.

  • This is almost the same as how I eat in my room at home. LOL. :)

  • Thank you for the video! Interesting as always!!

God bless you all up there!

  • This guy is in space for 6 months, isolated, I think making these videos is a great way to interact with the "outside world", here is in fact the world.

  • how long do you train to get used to no gravity . it does not seem to bother you in the least .i thought there was artificial gravity on board. watching to many movies i guess ,star trek fan lol ; )

  • how long do you train to get used to no gravity . it does not seem to bother you in the least

  • @johnalex1986 the human body adabts to zero gravity almost instantly. The blood pressure and flow changes to compensate for the lack of gravity. sleeping in zero gravity takes a bit longer to adjust but that is quickly too.

  • hello Im scott kelly, I vlog in space thamk you.

  • Scott, your videos are unique and very interesting. I have never seen anything like this. You are clear, simple and detailed. Thanks for explaining such daily spacelife details, even if you have to arrange other hugely difficult tasks. I never miss your videos. Thanks! Giorgio

  • AMAZING!!! thanks commander!

  • is audio mono?

  • 'Vlogs from space'. Pizza pepperoni is in the Pizza El Touche v2.0 bag.

  • Thank you very much Scott! Very interesting.

  • Really cool i was always very curious about the food aboard. I'd love see some of the Russian cosmonaut rations as well.

  • great video, really interesting

  • at 10:23 = "The asparagus floated away somewhere... not sure where it went, I'm sure it will turn up in acouple of days" haha!

  • Prior Navy here so I feel compelled to refer to you as CAPT Kelly!

Awesome video. I truly enjoy seeing the behind the scenes view of life aboard ISS.

Thank you for your hard work and service to our great country.

  • @zloj11

    They have little free time.

  • Good job Commander Kelly!

  • I love these little video blogs from space.

  • They can't just use a microwave to heat up their food? It would make things a lot quicker...

  • @akaga45 Microwave ovens are very energy intensive and not very efficient. They are also bulky and can be heavy. It might possibly be a safety issue as well. I would imagine the ISS has limited energy resources, so every bit of energy saved the more available for more important things.

  • Was hoping to see some of the stereotypical Tang drink.

  • ¥T

  • very cool/interesting.

very jealous of you as well haha

this is why i wish i lived a good 200 years into the future, so i could be living on a different planet/in space

  • Very interesting Video! *thumbs up*
