If the dried peaches are like the ones in the MRE's then eat them without hydrating them. Really tasty as your saliva hydrates them and they are crunchy. Just remembering from my days as a soldier in the Army.

Got a question about laundry. If you take smelly socks and underwear, put them in a mesh laundry bag, and leave them in the vacuum of space for a few hours, will the smelly chemicals and bacteria evaporate or float away from the clothing?

Another great video. These are aspects of life up there that we don't commonly hear about, and feeding oneself is more involved than we would think. Funny about the asparagus just floating away. How often does our food escape and disappear down here? And then, too, we don't have the game of turning our dessert loose in the air and chasing it.

@johnalex1986 the human body adabts to zero gravity almost instantly. The blood pressure and flow changes to compensate for the lack of gravity. sleeping in zero gravity takes a bit longer to adjust but that is quickly too.

@akaga45 Microwave ovens are very energy intensive and not very efficient. They are also bulky and can be heavy. It might possibly be a safety issue as well. I would imagine the ISS has limited energy resources, so every bit of energy saved the more available for more important things.
