Is FXP the equivalent of 720p?

Hey guys love the review. I'm a college student down at Southern Utah University and I was wondering if this would be a good camera for me to start making Indie films? I like the xlr ports so I can get a boom mic but would the camera itself be good? Or do you have a better suggestion?

Thanks for uploading the video. Those shots look magnificent. Were you able to capture any low-light settings? It would be great to see any footage you may have of staged events, like rock concerts. My interest is obvious if you look at my my uploads :)
