@SignatureAz : No She was NOT a drug addict ! - But she did die of an overdose of prescription drugs that were given to her by her so called Doctor for her depressions condition.

@SignatureAz , Not at all.Our angel Princess left Iran when she was only 6 & she had food disorder in Egyption school. Later it became more serious combind with blood disorder. She was very sad about the injustices leveled at her great father. She became very ill & could not eat & died heart broken. I met her in Cairo a year before she passed away.God bless her soul.

what you need to acknowledge is that a lot of what her mother did for Iran still is in use for Iranians today and so therefore, Farah is the mother of modern day Iran and by that I mean all that is modern and useful in Iran. This poor girl suffered a mental breakdown after witnessing the degradation of her family by an ungrateful nation.

However, deep down, I think she felt something else and chose to say the right thing at the right time. The Islamic revolution killed so many in so any ways and she is just one example.

I don't blame her parents for what happened to her, however I do believe her life events which took place because her parents were who they were led her to her untimely death. Had she remained a princess in Iran or had been born just an ordinary person without a title she would probably still be alive. I think it just comes to show that the more one has the more that can be taken away .

my grandfather was a colonel during the Shah's time who escaped Iran. Sadly he died some years ago and one of his dying words before going to ICU was that America should not trust the mollahs. after more than 20 years in exile, he finally lost his life in a country in which he was not born.

This video and the song made me cry...not because I am or ever was a big supporter of the Shah and his regime (don't get me wrong, I am NOT a supporter of the current regime), but merely for the fact that the world lost someone so beautiful (inside and outside) as Leila....and the fact that so many young people feel so disheartened and depressed in the realities and the world of today.
