1. Most of the time I don't mention the channel:)

2. I have told people before that I wouldn't trade off my rare titles and keeping them is always the better option. most of the time they don't care much.

I've also told people that their rare titles would fetch them more on Amazon or Ebay than I was able to offer in cash. (as I need to earn a profit on them) I like to be honest whenever possible.

At my old location I carried mostly used titles. on occasion when a hot title came out, I would get some new copies in. but I found there that I didn't sell a lot of new games.

I'll be ordering more new titles at the new location. I figure I'll really start up with that ordering around the first of December.

Example-

If I buy Call of Duty Mordern Warfare 2 on Tuesday, and did not like the game and can not return the game to the store I had bought it from. could go to L1 Games and trade it in, lets say I did that on Wenday. thats about 24 hours of ownen the game.

you're actually wrong. I've ordered new games in the past. always have. I did a lot of new ordering at City center. But not so much at the hilliard location. At this location the demand for new games will be a bit greater so I plan to order more here.

I never ordered toys.

I sell all of the FC consoles (twin, 3, and mobile) as well as carry all of the original consoles. I carry new and vintage as well as new and used games of all sorts. The money is in used games so thats what I focus on.

Wait... At the store I work at, it's family owned.. My manager refuses to order "new" games like Borderlands / COD: MW2, because "He buys the games for $55, and sell for $60, so he only makes $5 profit from a new game." How do you manage to sell them for $50?! And you can imagine how many people have asked me if we have any in stock. Nothing sucks more, then to tell people we are out of a BRAND new game, the day after it comes out.. :(

na, it's pretty much the same everywhere for independent stores. the mark up on new games is minimal. I sell a $60 title USED for $50. (not new.)

New games don't make ya much. However, New games bring people in and hopefully they'll trade for them and increase your profit.

people in the mall assumes that you are like an unbought GameStop store. And have signs that says something like trade in games and systems that other stores won't or something like that. try craigslist, post flyers around the mall or have someone put flyers on cars. Hell post flyers in front of GameStop's near by lol.
