Why instead of long hunk and proving her wrong you just didn't slow down to avoid the possible accident? You obviously saw her approaching. If she would hit you, would be her fault, but you'd be still in an accident. No offense..
Blind spots are at different points/places in each vehicle, so it's not clear whether he was in a blind spot or if the other driver just wasn't looking. You can't blame a guy for driving in his own lane, even if he was in the blind spot of the other car. I have a huge blindspot in my car, and you know what I do so I don't run into people? I look into my rear view mirror and out my back passenger windows to make sure nobody's there.
@halfgoodhalfevil It's obvious that the drivers of each vehicle are both not very good at driving. For the entire length of the video, the person recording the video was in the other cars blind spot. If the outcome had been an accident and i was called to the scene and that video was produced, i would have no choice recommend SERIOUS moving violations for both parties and the insurance responsibility would reflect 50% at-fault for the driver of each car.
@maptlbh oooooooh yeah because the driver in the video TOTALLY DID ANYTHING WRONG AT ALL! What a fuckin' moron you are. Moving violation for what? Driving in a straight line? Yeah I wouldn't have done it if I were him, but it's not anything to give a "serious moving violation" for. I hope you're not really a cop, because if you are, you suck at your job, mate.
@Dexi Hey Dexi! I'm sorry u are so mad and angry. If u watch the video, it's clear that BOTH drivers would have been very much at fault had an accident occurred at 0:08. Unfortunate as this may appear to you, if two drivers' cars collide whist driving, it is a result of they're having had an impact (see my previous comment). I might suggest you take some driving classes from a PROfessinal driving instructor IF u drive because you are probably putting ALOT of people at risk. Try and learn now :)
@FreedomEearthling If that's the law wherever you live, I feel sorry for you. I do drive and I ride a motorcycle. I know where everyone's blind spot it and I try to avoid being in it. Regardless, if I was in someone's blind spot and they changed lanes without looking over their shoulder and hit me, that would be 100% their fault. If you think anything else, you're as stupid as the last guy.
@Dexi Yes,the laws of physics are in full effect at Earth. If a person driving a car collides that car into a car that's being driven by another person, then, both parties hadSOMETHINGto do with the impact, by definition.I don't know where u live either, but,it appears u might be an alien with no concept of EarthPhysics,or,an earthling who is bound to succumb to natural selection.I might suggest you evolve, but, considering your rash demeanor, it might be a disservice to Darwin.PROVE me wrong, please
@FreedomEearthling We aren't talking about laws of physics we are talking about laws of government. If a person driving a car does something illegal (changing lanes into an occupied lane) and collides with a a car being driven by another person, then only the first person is at fault, by law. Government law, not physics. Judging by your inability to understand which type of law we are talking about, I'd say given the choice between either of us, you would be the one that needs to "evolve."
@Dexi Actually.....it's very difficult to communicate with you because u consistantly fail to grasp simple concepts. When we calculate that there's apparently a complete and total lack of common sense and logic in your communication, it kills the taste. Good luck getting better. You can try it!! GO BUDDY!!! THINK POSITIVE. Let go all your anger and be free....
when my dad was teaching me to drive he would always say that he would imagine it as a mission from the game Ghost Recon. always avoid close groups and always stop for red lights. he also told me to always imagine that everyone on the road was trying to kill me. I'm trying to start my own video series here on Youtube where I will pass on what I know while I'm driving around town. Stay safe out there everyone.
I had a '09 VW Eos 1.4Tsi WRITTEN OFF, by some dozy cow that turned from the OUTSIDE lane, across my lane (Inside) WITHOUT Looking, because she wanted to turn down a side street.. yes.. from the OUTSIDE LANE.
It happened outside of a Beauty shop where she was a regular.. so you guessed it. She got witnesses that I tried to Undertake her?
I have now had to give up driving because my insurance has gone RIDICULOUSLY high, until it is proven that it was not my fault.
I hate the fact that our insurance rates go up each year because yahoos like this ride in blind spots hoping to get a vid of it, as well as idiots that don't check them.
To those of you that state that the driver IN the blind spot shares no responsibility, go back to drivers ed and pay more attention to the section on "driving defensively".
N1...Happens to me more times than I can count. One time I had to drive on the "shoulder" while honking or else I would have been hit. Driver still cut me off, and I had to merge back into traffic. Just kept going not knowing I just prevented a accident they were about to cause.
@beexsama it happend to me one night when i first started driving on the highway. some dumb@ss pulled up bside me and tried to change, i endeed up accidently giving him a pit manouver and he spunn out. i was so scared i just kept going LOL
First of all, as my dad use to tell me, "Always drive for yourself and for the others as well." Therefore, NEVER STAY IN A BLIND SPOT FOR MORE THAN 5sec. In my opinion, you were just as wrong as she was. Imagine if that was a BIG TRUCK? What you gonna do then, wait for him to make the same mistake and then complain about it later? Well, if you survive good, but you might just not.
@elbinkbcao Why should I care about someone else's blind spot? You know, there's such a mysterious ability that most human possess called "Looking Over your Shoulder" and I do that every time I change lanes or even when I make a turn, in addition to checking what's in my mirrors. Why is that so hard for so many drivers to do?
@elbinkbcao And one more thing. Say that he was as responsible as she was is plain bullshit. Every driver that is changing lanes is obligated to yield to every vehicle that's on the lane he's moving onto. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule. None whatsoever.
@elbinkbcao I really respect your dad for teaching you that. But on the other hand if you drive in a major metropolis with heavy traffic pretty much a every day mission it is almost impossible to stay out of a vehicles blind spot for any length of time, checking your blind spot is one of the fundamental things you learn to do when you are learning how to drive, why people stop doing it? Who knows but laziness and idiocy come in to mind
@elbinkbcao 5 seconds? How about never stay in a blind spot period. Even so, responsibility always falls to the person making the move, you check your blind spot. Since many people don't, you stay out of the blind spot to protect yourself from stupid people. It's that simple.
@VoxMot It's obvious that the drivers of each vehicle are both not very good at driving. BOTH parties would have HUGE insurance premiums!
@elbinkbcao I have to disagree. The rule I learned was to ALWAYS check your blind spot before getting into the other lane. Even if you are 99.99% positive no one is there, check it anyway. It's easy. Just peek over your shoulder for a short second and make sure it is clear.
A defensive driver would have slowed or sped up or honkey before this happened. You could see the drive was heading towards your lane ahead of time. I think it's hard to find many accident where both parties are not both responsible to some degree.
Yesterday, I saw a person with an hd camera attached to their dashboard. I thought to myself... "What a stupid thing to do, like why, whats the point? what a waste of money.."
i dont get all these videos people film...while driving, and complain about other peoples bad driving, granted the other driver really needs to work on they're driving skills and you didn't seem to be distracted at all.. but most other videos it's kind of ironic
No, just stating what I saw. Raise the resolution and view the video at full screen. At one point, the driver looks through the side mirror. It's still not clear, but the driver does appear at that point to have a mustache and perhaps a beard. Certainly see nothing which clearly identifies the driver as a woman (no long hair, etc).
By the way, I could ask you similar questions. Why are you responding so negatively to the idea it might not be a woman?
@stewartx5 Then the clip must be different now, because at no time does a face appear in the mirror. (It even seems physically impossible). I have no consideration towards it being a man or woman. What I have considerations against are false statements. And why should we take your word for it, when the person that was actually there claims otherwise? It's pathetic!
cagers (car drivers) do this daily to me on my Kwaka ZX6R. Thats why I releave them of their wing mirrors. If you dont use it, you dont need it. Its quite rewarding watching the cager fume and swear as his mirror bounces down the road. Serves them right for nearly killing you.
@GuitarnScythes well given that they are driving on the left side of the road fault 1 isn't a fault. so she isn't actually under taking, she over taking...
Do those red lights pulse? You have very different traffic lights, we're only just getting LEDs! That type of idiot driver is a nightmare, so I have a much louder horn!!!!
Of course I anticipated all possibilities. But that does not mean I have to give way. I was never wrong in the 1st place. And giving her the honking is necessary to wake up her ideas. She cannot be ignorant of the road conditions when behind the wheels.
@twosix98 i always honk at those idiots because i hope they WAKE UP or they notice that they cannot drive like shit. most of the people don't honk and that is a problem i think
@twosix98 your right and wrong , you have a kid to answer too ,you need to make sure he/or she gets home safe ,sometimes who's right or wrong doesnt matter going home does .you didnt do anything wrong but riding in someones blind spot is asking for it in a way . braking would have been good also just incase she was completely brain dead or something and still kept coming
why do you keep a camera rolling on your dashboard? were you just driving around in everyone's blind spots hoping they'd switch lanes at some point?
part of traffic safety is to anticipate the actions of other drivers, everyone could see she was going to switch lanes, you should just have let her pass instead of hanging in her blind spot.
@tom53332 wrong. vehicle going straight has the right of way. Vehicle on the right did not signal intention. How on earth can anyone anticipate a driver driving straight and suddenly going left? If you drive by anticipating, you will be following 4-5 car lengths behind, you can't over take on the left or right, and you will keep at the position until that car turns to a different road. And THEN you have to do the same thing with the next driver.
@corytan5 no you don't, it's just a matter of insight in the way people drive. You can notice the car in front of the 'female driver' is driving significantly slower than her, indicating that she is not paying attention to it (so she might be looking for a possibility to switch lanes) also, she slowly moves to the left side of her lane which, unless she's drunk, is a good indication that someone is about to switch lanes in that direction.
@tom53332 Let's get the facts right, agree? Lights are red. There are vehicles stopped at the light. The vehicle in front of her slows down coming to a stop. Now the lady driver approaches the slowing car a little fast, we don't know if she's drunk, not attentive, looking to cut left or right, etc
This is where rules and instruction come in, and this is where drivers in SG start to be selfcentred, ignoring rules and safety conciousness.
@corytan5 all valid points, and sure you shouldn't ignore rules etc. But especially in countries where every moron can get his license in a day (and even if they do have to get proper lessons) you should be aware of the fact that they might not give way when they're supposed to. You should pick up on little signals such as I mentioned before to anticipate the actions of other drivers. If you don't I can guarantee you you will have an accident at some point.
@tom53332 Actually i do agree with you. What we are discussing is avoidable accidents. I drive with a mentality that everyone else can & will do stupid things on the roads. I do take a lot of precautions. Driving on public roads is a team game, everyone should work together to avoid accidents. But seriously, many drivers in SG don't play the game. Many of them actually drive threateningly like refusing to brake, or give way, or swerving into lanes to force their way ahead of others.
Best of all, we don't get our license in a day, more like 6-9mths. And yet they end up driving this way. If I was driving a beat up car, i would let such people hit me, get the police in on it, and make them learn their lesson of ignoring safety rules. Drivers in sg, don't give way to pedestrians or bikes, ignore give way and stop signs, beat red lights whenever there's no police cam. Everyone assumes selfishly they are the right of way. The worst drivers can be easily found in SG
@corytan5 better not take your new car there then:P Here it also takes about 6 to 9 months, depending on how good you are. I took 24 hours of lessons in 4 months before i was able to take the exam, which is reasonably quick. On average people here need about 35-40 hours of practice.
@tom53332 I think your country has some of the best road behavior, especially towards cyclist, in the world. In Singapore, we are having an increase in deaths involving cyclist, mainly because drivers refuse to give them space. In Singapore, cyclist are banned from pedestrain walkways, but drivers are asking the govt to kick cyclist off the roads because they say cyclist are causing a hazard on the roads. This is the country i live in.
@corytan5 shame,, but here cyclists are also banned from the roads and sidewalks, we have special 'bikeways' which are marked in orange, they are usually seperate from the road or sidewalk, but sometimes they run alongside the road sperated by a white line and cars are not permitted to cross that line, unless it's a narrow road (and there are no cyclists), in which case the line seperating the bike section from the main road must be an interrupted line. So you never cycle between the cars
@tom53332 this is where rules and safety conciousness come into play, and where SG drivers become selfish, and ignore safety. Red light ahead, car in front slows down. 1st instinct is to brake to slow down, which she doesn't do. If you want to change lanes, u need to signal, check rear, left, left blind spot, which she also doesn't do, and yet tries to change to the left lane. Either she ignores rules, driving etiquette, and safety, or is totally unaware. Either way, she is in the wrong.
She was going to stroll in your lane without even looking? That's reassuring. You were so close, I don't even think you were in her blind spot any longer.
i guess you must be waiting for a chance long enough to blast your stupid horn!!! you already anticipated for the other driver to switch into your lane, dont you know that you are driving at other's 'blind spot'!!! moronic enough to post this video, least to say an experienced driver. these are common everywhere, get a life!!!
@geronimocadillac1 You need avoid driving in someone's blindspot, but when the person is changing lane, you need to check your blindspot, the person changing lane is at fault because when changing lane, checking blindspot comes first than driving in someone's blindspot, therefore you're the moron.
@maptlbh Has nothing to do with that, a driver should ALWAYS check their blind spot. Doesn't matter if you are in that spot, they should check it

why stay at the blind spot? you're asking for it la..but it's good to honk them.
mrmojodadog 10 months ago
its common sense not to stay in someones blind spot , either pass them or slow down
TheMrbongripper 10 months ago
did you just have a cam ready in case this type of incident would occur? hahahaha i like
ksatnod 10 months ago
i liked the part where.........wait. I didn't like anything. I WANT MY 17 SECONDS BACK!
craiget 11 months ago
Do those red lights pulse? You have very different traffic lights, we're only just getting LEDs! That type of idiot driver is a nightmare, so I have a much louder horn!!!!
urbex2007 1 year ago
@urbex2007 no our lights don't pulse, at least not visually. there's some conflict between the lights and the cam framerate

keep hitting 7 when you play the vid xD

0:10 to 0:12 did he copy the noise of the horn? LOL
i love the part where the woman is out of the kitchen
Mellow888Mood 1 year ago
Of course I anticipated all possibilities. But that does not mean I have to give way. I was never wrong in the 1st place. And giving her the honking is necessary to wake up her ideas. She cannot be ignorant of the road conditions when behind the wheels.
twosix98 1 year ago 46
@twosix98 i always honk at those idiots because i hope they WAKE UP or they notice that they cannot drive like shit. most of the people don't honk and that is a problem i think
MovieInventor 11 months ago
@twosix98 Thumbs up but this is what they call aggresive driving.
xalkias2 10 months ago
@twosix98 your right and wrong , you have a kid to answer too ,you need to make sure he/or she gets home safe ,sometimes who's right or wrong doesnt matter going home does .you didnt do anything wrong but riding in someones blind spot is asking for it in a way . braking would have been good also just incase she was completely brain dead or something and still kept coming
Hemi4127 5 months ago 2
@twosix98 What if it was a BIG TRUCK, would you still fight for your point? Guess not, right?
elbinkbcao 5 months ago
why do you keep a camera rolling on your dashboard? were you just driving around in everyone's blind spots hoping they'd switch lanes at some point?
part of traffic safety is to anticipate the actions of other drivers, everyone could see she was going to switch lanes, you should just have let her pass instead of hanging in her blind spot.
tom53332 1 year ago
@tom53332 wrong. vehicle going straight has the right of way. Vehicle on the right did not signal intention. How on earth can anyone anticipate a driver driving straight and suddenly going left? If you drive by anticipating, you will be following 4-5 car lengths behind, you can't over take on the left or right, and you will keep at the position until that car turns to a different road. And THEN you have to do the same thing with the next driver.
corytan5 11 months ago
@corytan5 no you don't, it's just a matter of insight in the way people drive. You can notice the car in front of the 'female driver' is driving significantly slower than her, indicating that she is not paying attention to it (so she might be looking for a possibility to switch lanes) also, she slowly moves to the left side of her lane which, unless she's drunk, is a good indication that someone is about to switch lanes in that direction.
tom53332 11 months ago
@tom53332 Let's get the facts right, agree? Lights are red. There are vehicles stopped at the light. The vehicle in front of her slows down coming to a stop. Now the lady driver approaches the slowing car a little fast, we don't know if she's drunk, not attentive, looking to cut left or right, etc
This is where rules and instruction come in, and this is where drivers in SG start to be selfcentred, ignoring rules and safety conciousness.
corytan5 11 months ago
@corytan5 all valid points, and sure you shouldn't ignore rules etc. But especially in countries where every moron can get his license in a day (and even if they do have to get proper lessons) you should be aware of the fact that they might not give way when they're supposed to. You should pick up on little signals such as I mentioned before to anticipate the actions of other drivers. If you don't I can guarantee you you will have an accident at some point.
tom53332 11 months ago
@tom53332 Actually i do agree with you. What we are discussing is avoidable accidents. I drive with a mentality that everyone else can & will do stupid things on the roads. I do take a lot of precautions. Driving on public roads is a team game, everyone should work together to avoid accidents. But seriously, many drivers in SG don't play the game. Many of them actually drive threateningly like refusing to brake, or give way, or swerving into lanes to force their way ahead of others.
corytan5 11 months ago
Best of all, we don't get our license in a day, more like 6-9mths. And yet they end up driving this way. If I was driving a beat up car, i would let such people hit me, get the police in on it, and make them learn their lesson of ignoring safety rules. Drivers in sg, don't give way to pedestrians or bikes, ignore give way and stop signs, beat red lights whenever there's no police cam. Everyone assumes selfishly they are the right of way. The worst drivers can be easily found in SG
corytan5 11 months ago
@corytan5 better not take your new car there then:P Here it also takes about 6 to 9 months, depending on how good you are. I took 24 hours of lessons in 4 months before i was able to take the exam, which is reasonably quick. On average people here need about 35-40 hours of practice.
But overall I think people here drive quite well

@tom53332 where's here you're talking about?
corytan5 11 months ago
@corytan5 I live in The Netherlands
tom53332 11 months ago
@tom53332 I think your country has some of the best road behavior, especially towards cyclist, in the world. In Singapore, we are having an increase in deaths involving cyclist, mainly because drivers refuse to give them space. In Singapore, cyclist are banned from pedestrain walkways, but drivers are asking the govt to kick cyclist off the roads because they say cyclist are causing a hazard on the roads. This is the country i live in.
corytan5 11 months ago
@corytan5 shame,, but here cyclists are also banned from the roads and sidewalks, we have special 'bikeways' which are marked in orange, they are usually seperate from the road or sidewalk, but sometimes they run alongside the road sperated by a white line and cars are not permitted to cross that line, unless it's a narrow road (and there are no cyclists), in which case the line seperating the bike section from the main road must be an interrupted line. So you never cycle between the cars
tom53332 11 months ago
@tom53332 this is where rules and safety conciousness come into play, and where SG drivers become selfish, and ignore safety. Red light ahead, car in front slows down. 1st instinct is to brake to slow down, which she doesn't do. If you want to change lanes, u need to signal, check rear, left, left blind spot, which she also doesn't do, and yet tries to change to the left lane. Either she ignores rules, driving etiquette, and safety, or is totally unaware. Either way, she is in the wrong.
corytan5 11 months ago
She was going to stroll in your lane without even looking? That's reassuring. You were so close, I don't even think you were in her blind spot any longer.

i guess you must be waiting for a chance long enough to blast your stupid horn!!! you already anticipated for the other driver to switch into your lane, dont you know that you are driving at other's 'blind spot'!!! moronic enough to post this video, least to say an experienced driver. these are common everywhere, get a life!!!
geronimocadillac1 1 year ago
@geronimocadillac1 You need avoid driving in someone's blindspot, but when the person is changing lane, you need to check your blindspot, the person changing lane is at fault because when changing lane, checking blindspot comes first than driving in someone's blindspot, therefore you're the moron.
