Hmmm, a baby Porsche. Not sure if this will catch on with customers, but then again, I said the same thing about the Cayenne and it did well. The Special edition Ferrari is interesting. Seems every few years some companies make an "affordable" sportscar (e.g. 924, Boxster, 3 Series, etc.). The problem is they never seem to stay affordable. By year 3 they have added more features, horsepower, etc. in an attempt to bring the car more up-market so that sportscar isn't so "affordable" anymore. the used the wrong platform and engines for the X-Type. it was a Mondeo/Taurus platform with basically the same engines. that was their mistake.

the 914 successor is (as said in the video) suspected to be built on a totally new platform that underpins the Bluesport.

the crash tests are going into a barrier that simulates hitting another car. it might be stationary, but it simulates it enough to where it seems like the car being tested is hitting another car. also, a car is also an immovable object. most cars today weigh close to or over 2 tons. a car that weighs in that vacinity that has the brakes applied will be hard to move unless a great force is applied.
