I have an iconic memory of standing at the dining table, looking back into the loungeroom watching this ad, in the 80s when I was in primary school! I never forgot this ad & have unabashedly annoyed people by singing the jingle over the years.. & now I'll get the lyrics right! Muhaha. Thank you so much for uploading a precious memory!

The lack of a bar code on the wrapper really shows how behind the times Australia was. The US have used bar codes on just about everything since the early 1970s. They didn't arrive in Australia until the late 80s, believe it or not.

I'm SO GLAD I found it! This is my favourite 80's ad! My second favourite would have to be "Pioneer, what jelly dreams are made of" !! "If I had a jelly car, I'd like to drive it very far" ! lol

I've been looking for this! I don't just remember the song, I remember the harmonising at the end. It was a sad day when Flake changed their font, even though the current one probably suits it better. And I hate the sealed foil wrapper now, even though bits of chocolate used to fall out of the rolled plastic one. (Do I maybe care too much...?)

I don't remember the song but the second I saw it I knew it was the one I LOVED!! When I was allowed to have a chocolate at the shops, I'd eat it as soon as we left the check out and try to eat it like her, but I'd always spill it or it wouldn't all be in one piece..lol

One of my favourite ads along with imperial leather's "Simon, Tahiti". I was little when it this flake ad first came out and I always used to sit right up close to the tv to see if i could see more of her face under the hat. She was so intriguing!
