Same here. All I knew about as a six year old kid, in Charlotte, North Carolina back in the year 1982, was Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, Joan Jett, and so on. Nothing independent, pecualiar, unique, strange, and overtly NON-radio like this.
