@Mrwickedchild It's not fair that people that believe other things are free to talk about what they believe in, but if a christian speaks about their beliefs, they're pushing it on you/others. People don't get that real christians just have so much love for people that they want to see as many go to heaven as possible. Nothing wrong with that. They pray to seek guidance when they don't know which step to take, or they pray for forgiveness, which I think is one of the most important reasons to pray.
They ask for help when they're in a bad situation, or they pray to give thanks for something good that has happened to them.
Again, I don't know all the reasons, but I know I have used all of the above :-)

Now saying that i will tell you when i pray to jesus i tell him how beautiful he is. How wonderful he is. How mercyful he is. i praise him. i sing to him in a form of prayer. i also do ask for healing upon others, the salvation of others, and even just blessings. prayer is koinonia.

If only everyone could feel the intense love and belonging that you feel when your best friend is Jesus. I mean, you just have a sense of duty to tell people and to spread the wonderful word of God. (: Your life means something. God loves us all equally and it is a daily battle to keep faith sometimes, but I always know he's there. He is my safehouse, and that is a wonderful feeling to have that kind of security. I think they were right to say that this isn't a religion, it's a relationship.

Can't people see that religion drives people apart? Religion is made up by men. How can something that's 'made by God' drive people apart? God's unfailing love and his Son Jesus Christ however, brings people together! That's all the logic you need. It's a relationship with your Creator.

Well, I don't call my God Allah. I know technically it means the same, cuz in your language 'Allah' means God. But to me they are different.
I believe God does things for a reason, but I also believe sometimes stuff just happens. But He has His way of turning it into something good, if you let Him.

Well, in my opinion it does. I agree it's the people that decide to fight with one another, but that's only because they listen to certain rules that belong to religions. Just look at christians.. Some say you have to wear a hat to church, others say you're not allowed to wear pants, some say you can't use instruments in church.. They all have these rules and thát's what drives people apart. The rules that belong to all the different religions..

He commanded us to love him and our neighbors. Man has made it, sit down, stand-up, turn around, say this, say that, go home. It should be a relationship, not "lip service." It shouldn't be,"well I've got to go do my time at church," it should be, "I can't wait to be in the presence of the God of the Universe." Some cling to religion too much

@Mrwickedchild It's not fair that people that believe other things are free to talk about what they believe in, but if a christian speaks about their beliefs, they're pushing it on you/others. People don't get that real christians just have so much love for people that they want to see as many go to heaven as possible. Nothing wrong with that. I've personally seen miracles, that doctors can' even explain, and felt God so strong that it's brought me to tears of joy. That's proof enough for me.

Well, that's to each his own I guess. I don't know all the reasons why people pray, but I guess there are several.
They pray to seek guidance when they don't know which step to take, or they pray for forgiveness, which I think is one of the most important reasons to pray.
They ask for help when they're in a bad situation, or they pray to give thanks for something good that has happened to them.
Again, I don't know all the reasons, but I know I have used all of the above :-)

@Mrwickedchild This is my point of view on praying. Praying isnt just you asking the lord for something. No, i believe praying is just another word for fellowshipping with the lord our savior. Now saying that i will tell you when i pray to jesus i tell him how beautiful he is. How wonderful he is. How mercyful he is. i praise him. i sing to him in a form of prayer. i also do ask for healing upon others, the salvation of others, and even just blessings. prayer is koinonia.

Religion can be a relationship with God, or it can be anything else dealing with how we interact with the Divine. The point is, the word you are using should be doctrine not religion.

I totally understand what you mean, everyone that know me, knows my relationship with God is complicated, i do cuss a lot, but that's mainly the only REALLY bad thing i do. I will try to be better. @adbccreations actually in mathew 7:1 it tells us we are allowed to judge others after judging ourselves. if you judge someone knowing that your the same way then you're a hypocrite. we are allowed to judge others in order to correct them. its actually a sin to not correct someone knowing that they are wrong.
