But I think Shinsengumi Kitan is the anime based on a real Shinsengumi.

Exactly! He's all cute and happy go lucky. Eating candy, hugging people and all. Then snap he goes psycho and slashes some guys throat open with his own wakazashi in front of a little kid. I mean they say Tetsuya (sp?) is 15 but I don't buy it. Even if he is 15 it's clear he gets traumatized. So Souji is great for being cute and sweet, and then traumatizing children. XD He's such a lunatic but that's what makes him one of my favorites. I'd love to see him team up with Jin and Mugen!
