As a young metal musician girl (double bass drum and gutteral vocals) she was (is) my idol. She never sold out or went all bimbo like vixen and Lita Ford..and even my heroes Girlschool jumped on that bandwagon...but Wendy was/is true and real. I understand her reasons for checking out - sometimes I envy her.. but she's a legend. And 'heroes never die...' My only regret was that I never got to thank her for her inspiration to a young true metal girl...and to thank her...

That she killed herself might be counterintuitive to all that, but apparently she left behind a note detailing her reasons. And we may never know why, but I bet they were pretty good.

They had a few decent early songs like 'Planet Earth and 'Girls On Film on their first album, though they were never a total metalheads groupe to be sure. The Brazilian band Krisiun is mind-blowing in terms of speed and technical ability playing metal…extremely difficult to play metal for anyone. They learn, practice and play music from their own culture, too... traditional folk, Spanish guitar, Latin jazz, all that. Yet Krisiun sound insane as if intending to bleed your eardrums.
