  • It's the same chords as Hey Soul Sister by Train. Do you think they pinched them? Wonderful instrument and I love the sound, more jangly than my 8 string uke with a box. I heard Seasick Steve playing an instrument made out of two British Moriss Minor hubcaps and a broomstick!

  • Where did you get this instrument from?

  • are you playing hey soul sister ???

have you tried playing it with a plectrum?

  • have you tried playing it with a plectrum?

  • Sounds like Jason Mraz-I'm Yours, as well as many other songs that follow this progression.

  • Well done !

  • i think da localss should teach this dude haha

  • shux tahitians suk at drumming and ukulele yall should learn frm the realist cook islanders

  • tahitian ukuleles are amazing... does anyone know any website where i can buy one?

  • i want that ukulele :)

  • NICE

  • does dis guy wrilly uses 8 snares??

  • typical palangi

  • i ddont think ur playing it right. how do u play it like the natives do?

  • didnt realize there was a right way to play music. Good luck buddy

  • @reupenaaa the strum is way faster man but nice use of the instrument tho

  • im yours?

  • yes i think it is =D

  • can you do a tutorial on how to play?

  • this is a basic chord progression of C Am, F G (I vi IV V). Hundreds of songs use it. I always use this progression to teach people the first time they see my uke. It's the friendliest set of chords.

It sounds much like the way "i'm Yours" by Jason Mraz uses a similar progression. The original is in a different key, but I also find it works nicely in C. Jason wouldn't mind, I'm sure.

    Beautiful uke.

  • It's more like C G Am F

  • quite right. slightly different order. same set of chords. haven't played it in a few months.

  • I agree...sounds similar to im yours

  • That sounds dangerously like Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

  • this song is called Im Yours by Jason Mraz

but it's half a step down.

    it still sounds cool

  • actualy its "have you ever seen the rain by that creedence eclear water revivel or what ever there called the chords are identical Am F C G repeat

  • wrong jaepee its somewhere over the rainbow lol

  • FWIW, somewhere over the rainbow is a completely different pattern when played in the same key and has a lot more variations.

    C Em Am F

    F E7 Am F

    C Em F C

    F C G Am

    etc...

Most rock songs are a lot simpler (like just about anything by CCR as mentioned).

This is why "I'm Yours" requires more variation in strumming patterns or singing to prevent a repetitive sound, but "Over the Rainbow" is generally played straight through with just one strum pattern, but doesn't sound repetitive.

  • i was jk cuz i no him

  • Either I'm going mad or I that uke is emitting a sort of wah-wah that sounds as though someone is singing the chords. Sounds great ;D

  • It's how he's letting pressure off the strings. Modulate pressure close to the fret and you'll find you can do the same on your guitar. Helps to have a short string length to make the tension less.

  • haha i play the Hawaiian uke tahitian sounds awesome tho!

  • what chords are you playing?

  • Looks like Am, Fmaj, Cmaj, Gmaj. looks like some kind of soprano. and if youre playing it I would end it with Dm, Fmaj, Gmaj, Cmaj. for a nice turn around. Dm fits nicely dissonant with Am, and Fmaj also.

  • that is just the most stunning uke

  • nice, I must buy one of this instrument ;D

  • sweet!
