  • Song with the people in the pink and orange ?

    Anyone?(:

  • btw people there is a difference b/t MILITARY DRILL TEAMS and HIGH SCHOOL DANCE/DRILL TEAMS thats why the rule book and everything else is shortened to "DANCE/DRILL TEAM" only reason why it's called drill is because you do military style which is one of the many choices you have to do in DANCE/DRILL TEAM get over it people

  • ummm idk who is this stupid to think that everything is sharp on drill team i go to one of Texas's best drill team schools and its not always sharp unless you're doing military or kick, you have to be able to know how to do other things other than that cause we are dancers not an army.

  • i can def tell u this is a drill team. I would know cuz im captain of the drill team at my school. like a lot of other people have been saying there are different categories not just military and kick.

  • These comments are so stupid. I am in Jan's crawford's team which is the founder of drill team's daughter and may I say that it's not just military. People are stupid.

  • frankymanofdrill is correct. This is a drill team. so suck my strap on dick and beat it

  • DRILL TEMA NEEDS TO BE SHARP THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.!

thats why drill has different grouops like kick and military for those who are beter at other things. AS LONG AS ITS SHARP!

u can do turns it just depends on ur coach

THANK YOU im on a drill team myself

  • @MEdance4ever me too and i completely agree!

  • their all white

  • i love my drill team

  • In Texas well call these females here "SLUTS."

  • @Leehr19 I live in Texas and dance on a drill team. I'm a dude! Also, Texas STARTED drill teams!

  • this is barely drill i think i saw 4 things that looked like drill. im thinking these are dance drill teams cause no straight drill team does spins. i am on a military drill team and im pretty sure my coaches would never put a spin or flowy move in. But i respect dancers cause they work just as hard.

  • this ints drill boring

  • @mscreativeperson SHUTUP IM ON A JV DRILL TEAM U HAVE NO CLUE WAT IT IS

  • that first team with the yellow dresses are from my schooll.. woo go lady lancers!! granger high school drill team = the excaliburs <3

  • I dont think this is Drill Team..Gosh if you're dancing doing Leaps in the hair and stuff then its DANCING. you have gone out of the category of "drill" just call it dancing. It takes dicipline to get really good..and some dancing teams arent good enough to be catagorized as Drill because they just arent good. Dancing is my passion and i could recognize Drill from dancing in no time..

  • @lizisawesome25 Obviously you need to pay a little more attention because it is not called drill team. It is called dance and drill team. That is why we do Leaps in the AIR and stuff. The creativity adds the dancing, but the discipline, determination, dedication, and responsibility adds the drill. And by the way...even when football players suck eggs we still have to call them football players so get over it.

  • diz some bull crap

  • all of these ignorant comments are seriously bothering me. Dance/Drill Team started in the 30s in TEXAS. Any dance team that marches, does left and right faces/pivots, etc, is a drill team. They even stand the same & everything.. There ARE categories that dance/drill teams compete in like KICK and MILITARY that are the sharp, precision, "drill" kind of things that you're talking about. learn your history ppl. Kilgore College Rangerettes were the first & they do these kinds of dances all the time

  • @frankymanofdrill History!?! Let me give you a history lesson! Drill, which is the synchronized movement of military forces in formation, began in the 16th century in the Dutch army. Centuries before dance teams were even though of, let alone began stealing terms. These little dance teams dont stand the same, use the same categories, or any of the real marching, drill, or talent of a real Drill Team. But you know what, Im going to be the better person and purpose a solution, find another name.

  • @Spartan156 You must not have ready when I wrote DANCE/DRILL. The first DANCE/Drill Teams originated in Texas. The first, as I mentioned, was the Kilgore College Rangerettes. You are clearly ignorant and in denial of the fact that new things come up and evolve. This is NOT me saying that Dance/Drill is superior or better in any way, namely because THEY'RE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. These teams do DANCE and they DRILL.

  • @Spartan156 And I'm not sure what you mean by your last remark as you being the 'better person'. You're not being better at anything other than opening your mouth about stuff you don't understand, which is fine, it happens all the time with people but when they don't understand something and make judgments like you did, it just makes you sound like an idiot.

  • @frankymanofdrill And maybe if you used some english grammar, you wouldnt be misunderstood. Your argument is pitiful at best, way to attack the person, and not the topic. You arent worth wasting another word.

  • @Spartan156 You're ignorant & that's why you're not worth wasting another word. That's all.

  • @frankymanofdrill people w/ ignorant comments r the ones that don't know all the information.

  • @frankymanofdrill But most people know the drill teams from JROTC, which started from the National Defense Act of 1916; decades before the dance teams in Texas. But I must admit that it is quite annoying how defensive some people get over their comments (on YouTube as a whole, mostly) while they could just go on to the next video.

  • @frankymanofdrill Sorry for replying to such an old comment, it was one of the few times I didn't read the date (3 months ago).

  • @taylalici0us I completely agree that ppl need to recognize these are dance/drill teams. But, im a male. I did dance/drill four years in hs, became Colonel, won solo comps & lead my team to a lot of wins! I see boys try to do dance/drill all the time but only a few are succesful in it bc of all the BS that they have to put up with. it was my heart and still is

  • OK this is called a DANCE / DRILL TEAM! You learn military things also (which is why it's called drill) but you mostly dance. Everybody has different talents and we should appreciate all the hard work each one of us has to put in our talent.

  • these so funny lookin drill team pple

  • You may use words anyway you choose. Certainly not offensive, this is not the best use of the word. To practice intently can be called drill, but the exhibition of these skills cannot be called "Drill Team." You will continue to hear some comments to the negative, just be ready for it. By the way, drill teams do not always use rifles, it is military precision that is the key, commands, and execution of those commands, spoken or not.

  • Drill team is more intense than you could ever imagine they earn the title.... of drill team

  • dRILL tEAM ARE RIFLES WITH GUNS FOR JROTC OR ROTC

  • @21jblader we prefer dance shoes here...thats more intense

  • I dont know much about dance or drill teams, but that doesn't look like drill teams.

  • While well done, this is a Synchronized Dance Show-Competition. This is NOT drill. Hope someone can defend the use of word "Drill." This is good, but NOT drill. See the US Navy Drill Team, The US Army Drill Tea, The Marine Corps Silent Drill Team/Platoon.

  • @scatterhawk47 drill is the term we use here get over it

  • @MichaelaArchuleta i so agree!!! it is my favorite sport ever!!! i love it so much! iike you. =] are you from utah?

  • @razzdang yepp im from utah

  • -i gotta say this aint drill...im in my schols drill team and were nothing compared to this we do everything like it suppose to bee(:

  • okay dat aint no fuckin drill team,, dats dancin?? sumbody need ta tell them wat tha meanin of DRILLS is cuz obviously dey dont kno. and dem costumes is hella ugly

  • @YoureBananas hey dont judge the sport till u do it pretty sure u could not handle a week of it

  • @MichaelaArchuleta okay im on an actual drill team....so i think i wud kno wat im talkin about.... and i cud handle a wek of it.....

  • @YoureBananas ya im on this dance drill team and its tuns more work than any other sport you could ever do

  • @YoureBananas

Correct on the use the word "drill," but you do not have to dis to make the point.

  • @scatterhawk47 I wasn't dissin... i was jus sayin dey costumes is uqly...

  • those are some nastyassss dresses!!

  • haha was not expecting this, i thought military too

  • Haha same thing here, I was expecting a Military Drill routine.

  • In utah drill team is kind of different from what other states consider drill team. its a lot more like a competitive dance team but we also do military routines, they just didnt show those on this video though

  • a drill team has military style elements in it. this is clearly just a dance team

  • HiLLCREST BABiEEEE!!!!=D

  • wow i used to do that kinda stuff but our costumes werent THAT ugly!

  • DID THEY FORGET DRILL AINT BALLET! its making music without music but your body!

  • its in utah

  • wait what state is this in?

  • @drillisme Utah. This is what we consider a Drill Team. They just showed the "dance" routines in this video, but there are other categories like kick and military that are more "drill" like.

  • duh drill teams dance and cheerleaders do the cheers and flips and stuff

  • this does not look like drill team this is all dancing instead of angles and positions my drill team does not look like dancing. drill team is blades and stiffness not waves and curves. i have drill team like this but it does not look like this =D. mine is not military like

  • @poohpooh562 drill team is stiff and sharp just watch we are

  • im in drill team at my school and we will got to the st.patricks parade and elementary-middle school not watt i was excpecting

  • honestly i think cheer and drill are alot alike just no one really notices.. i am on a drill team and we work with our cheer squad quite a bit and it is pretty much alike we all yell, do flips, do lifts, dance, it really is alot alike they just use more of different elements that we just sort of use.

    Go Delta :]]

  • its not cheerleading don't get it twisted peoples!

    they are two dif things.

sure they look the same butt they are dif. cheerleading do flips chants cheers and i would know cux i was one(:

now im in sghs drill team and oh boy its a whole thing! we do dances, kicks, chaines turns,we passe, pique turn and ect its really cool(:

im super duper excited for the drill competion it will be my first competion too:D

butt really a drill team can be alot of dif things depending on your opinion..

  • Yeah!

whats up with that! Drill Team you get to dance, do flips, shout, and wear awesome uniform and cheerleading all you do is shout and do flips.

I'm not dissing cheerleading just I prefer Drill Team.

    I'm in BHJS Drill Team.

    I agree with you SMilEy6605.

Will I be seeing you at competition?

  • My school has a dance drill team and a military drill team. and a color guard. (for jrotc). and im in all three :)

  • U mean cheerleading? T.T

Drill team is a military class... thingy... -.-

  • ha im on a drill team....it is like dance but no they are hard woking and like the best dancers ever....

  • yea why do then call it a drill team? its dancing!

  • they have ugly uniforms..our are much more nicer and prettier..

  • well there are some cities who don't have military drill teams, so these would be it. Some high schools have "drill teams" which are the dance team and color guard in one, so how about people post comments about the DANCING and not posting "this is not a drill team" over and over again, if you hadn't realized, it's been said. well the vid was chopped but i saw some nice leaps, so nice job all teams.

  • so called "drill teams" dont have anything to do with rifle drilling, spinning, or facing movements, as for color gaurd and dance teams, they need to be labled as such to avoid confusion

  • Well it's not confusing for certain states. Some states their, pom squads, California- Song Teams, Arizona- Spirit Squads- most states say dance teams or dancelines, its just convient for some states to just keep the name that they've had for a long time.

  • ohhhh ok, im just used to military drill teams so :\

  • this anit no got dam drill team

  • this isn't drill

  • @XxXcoheedXxX actually it is

  • @MichaelaArchuleta No its not

  • @XxXcoheedXxX UUU TTO RETARD

  • @XxXcoheedXxX duh ya it is

  • @XxXcoheedXxX this is drill. just cuz it's not "military" where everyone has a serious face doesn't mean its not drill.

  • Those are not Drill teams. They are improperly titled Dance Teams.

  • They do Military as well. This video only shows the Dance division

  • actually dance teams that sometimes use props and dont just dance are called drill teams.

  • Which would make them an inproperly titled dance team. Props dosent make any of these people part of a 'Drill' team.

  • Then they should call it dance team

  • My point exactly, thank you.

  • @Spartan156 wrong. i am on a drill team and it is called a drill team for a reason obviously you don't go to school around here otherwise you would understand.

  • @razzdang You must be a comedian, because that was absolutely hilarious! I love to hear all the little pussy emo girls complain when I call them out for stealing military terms. Color Guard, Rifles, Sabres, Drill, all of these terms are about the MILITARY.

But you know what, let me apologize.

Im sorry you and all the other flat chested high school girls arent creative enough to come up with a unique name, so you decided to steal some.

  • @Spartan156 your an idiot

  • @razzdang haha drill team is more intense then they could ever know

  • @Spartan156 not in utahh pal

  • @MichaelaArchuleta in utahhhhh? Isnt that the same place you can marry your cousin?

I can never seem to understand, why all the moody teenage cheerleader reject feel like they have to copy terms already used by the military for centuries? Is it a lack of creativity, or just jealousy? Do you know? You seem like an expert on the motivation of stupid decisions.

  • @Spartan156 your just jealous you wanna be.

  • @razzdang Jealous? Thats hilarious, being apart of one of these teams would be a step down for me. Its also pretty unfotunate that this is the best argument you can offer, the last Flag Team supporter to try and argue with me was alot smarter.

  • @Spartan156 arn't you a boy?

  • @taylalici0us How would that matter to you?

  • @Spartan156 if you are a boy technically you couldn't do this anyway because it's for girls only so what would it matter?

  • @taylalici0us Wow, this stuff must cause damage to brain cells, because you seem totally miss the whole point of this. Your Dance Team has no association with the military or the true purpose of Drill, you steal the name 'Drill' from a proud and real tradition who was able to come up with its own name. It dosent matter what dance or flag teams ever do, when you deviate from the traditional drill and ceremony, its no longer drill, its a dance.

  • @Spartan156 duhh no and this is our thing we love it so back of we are so creative and u wouldnt even understand

  • @MichaelaArchuleta You know what else is creative? Getting your own name! Not stealing it from a time honored tradition of proffesionals like the military. I couldnt honestly care less that you love it, or you're creative, or have a great team that will last until graduation. Why not learn how to spell before trying to get into an argument on the internet.

  • that would be Hillcrest high school :) they only won because they cheated. look it up :) bingham got screwed.

  • No it's not

  • who is the team that is in blue dancing to he lives in you?

  • Hillcrest High School..... State Champions

  • is that dance on youtube??
