This song is all about taking a different walk in life. As both cars (wrecked and new) are black and similar in structure, it suggests a begining and an end. Sarah's idea of a New begging was to break out of societies identicalness,(thus the schoolgirl look). And rather than be drove along with everyone else, bound by the laws that govern them (the police car) she heads in a different direction, until she reaches realization thus her final destination,
