  • I have been thinking about buying one and the more I see these vids, the more I want one. If for nothing else than to have a "friend" to jam with. A great way to practice, in my opinion. This is good stuff here. I love your studio. Looks like mine with a whole "mess" of stuff....

  • great soulful playing with your looper.

i hear what your trying to say very well

    and i like it.

    peace,

    rich from chicago

  • I still don't know what I should think of these looping in generally? On the one hand it keeps perfectly the time & only very good musicians could play a steady rhythm like that. On the other hand it makes the music mechanical and sometimes even static which fits for some styles but not for everyone. I am still undecided.

What do y o u think? Can you understand what I am talking about?

  • @2009framat yes i understand your problem and i still d'ont know what i should think about that, but music,it's "art" and we can create with all we can give,no?

  • can dig, like the harp

  • ROFL @ Schism73....Danney Carey outta slap the fuck out of you for such a retarded comment.

  • hahaha, i love the passion schism, and if that was a real drummer, i'd agree. sounds like you could use a beer, chill out for a few.

  • When the drummer gets off the quarter note, he`ll find it impossible to keep the beat anyway. He`s best sticking to earning some cash on the street to pay his bills. ;)I agree totally with what you say.

  • Really great man, what kinda looper you using?

  • hey jeffrey,it(s a"digitech jamman"

  • awsome awsome jamming great sound for sure

  • This is a great video and music making.

  • in french " guitare johnson" means guitar from the firm Johnson. If you want to know everything may i suggest you " kiki", " quequette" , " zob" ( ushhhhhhhh) , " bras d'enfant " ( children's arm, old french pimp expression), " popaul" ( something like "my pal Paul") et a lot of more but I ' m scared by the " flag as inapropriate" button).

  • Woweeeeeeeeeeeee! I wanna do that!

I got a guitar and a touch of talent BUT what do I need to create the loopng/multi-tracking effect?

    You make it sound great

    Thanks

    Thunder

  • Hey, sounds cool.

What kind of gear are you playing through? Pickup, amp etc.

  • guitare johnson,trémolo behringer,tubeking ibanez,jamman digitech looper......that's all ......

  • plug in soundcard'pc...;and behringer b2 "MICRO" for voice

  • Really cool, great feel.

  • Johnson is American slang for penis. Great vid, though. Love these instructional presentations. Fuck guitar lessons.

  • Johnson is also a resonator guitar brand. You can play with either one, it's up to you.

  • Right,

That was implicit in my post. French guy author of this vid is unaware of that, however.

Why am I attracting all this know-nothing rebuttal?

  • That's what you call having a feel for it and the talent to express it!

  • and you, what do you think about that??

  • Sorry for the way I phrased this. I didn't mean to imply anything other than I thought it was terrific! It went staight into my "You Tube" favourites- I've played it a dozen times already- really brilliant!

  • I would guess this is multiple track recording and looping. I would like to know about the equipment involved. How many tracks are you working with?

I have done some this myself, but not to this extent--awsome.

  • this is a"jamman digitech"pédale,i can record many tracks on one ,you can see in my new vid"slidebass"

  • I can't thank you enough. I'm ordering me one.

  • well done. I enjoyed it ..

  • what the hell was that all about?

  • This shook my very core man! Goosebumps ill tell ya, lil hairs stood up. you sold your damn soul didnt ya! now whatcha gonna do man?

  • wow that's really really good, keep it up

    ;-)

  • Does not compare to the original, people.

  • of corse

  • OMG shuttap......nice vid

  • you're a dope

  • Have you even heard the original, dumbass? This guy posts his video as "smokestake lightnin' (howlin wolf) 1969" which is far from accurate.

  • sorry guys, my comment wasn't directed towards davidbluesthomas, i loved the vid,

  • Who said it did? I don't think he was going for that. Hell, I think he gets that low down swampy feel down. I love some dirty blues. Makes me bob my head and tap my feet. Good job!

  • It must be that drum machine that makes it that down swampy feel. Your son is talented. Sigh.

  • Its a guy in a room with a guitar a harp and some equipment. I might not be as talented as you, but I sure can't bang out a beat on some drums, play the base lick, blow a little on my harmonica, play a little slide, and sing all at the same time. As for swampy dirty blues, I live 3 hours from the Mississippi delta. I have heard dirty, greasy, sweaty, working's man blues. This isn't quite that gritty, but the man is doing his thing and I like it.

  • love it, Howlin wolf is one of blues greatest

  • awesome..!

very cool. I need to get one of those gizmos

  • Great cover ! Great use of loop station !! Love the dirty sound...

  • ;) most welcome David.

    very nice.
