I have been thinking about buying one and the more I see these vids, the more I want one. If for nothing else than to have a "friend" to jam with. A great way to practice, in my opinion. This is good stuff here. I love your studio. Looks like mine with a whole "mess" of stuff....
I still don't know what I should think of these looping in generally? On the one hand it keeps perfectly the time & only very good musicians could play a steady rhythm like that. On the other hand it makes the music mechanical and sometimes even static which fits for some styles but not for everyone. I am still undecided.
What do y o u think? Can you understand what I am talking about?
@2009framat yes i understand your problem and i still d'ont know what i should think about that, but music,it's "art" and we can create with all we can give,no?

Your fuckin kidding me right......the drummer needs to get off his goddamn quarter note on the bass.......Oh yeah its hard to duplicate......try this.............DON'T DO IT
When the drummer gets off the quarter note, he`ll find it impossible to keep the beat anyway. He`s best sticking to earning some cash on the street to pay his bills. ;)I agree totally with what you say.
in french " guitare johnson" means guitar from the firm Johnson. If you want to know everything may i suggest you " kiki", " quequette" , " zob" ( ushhhhhhhh) , " bras d'enfant " ( children's arm, old french pimp expression), " popaul" ( something like "my pal Paul") et a lot of more but I ' m scared by the " flag as inapropriate" button). Nice music, btw, thanks, merci de t'etre autant cassé les couilles pour nous donner ce putain de bon boulot;)
Sorry for the way I phrased this. I didn't mean to imply anything other than I thought it was terrific! It went staight into my "You Tube" favourites- I've played it a dozen times already- really brilliant!
Who said it did? I don't think he was going for that. Hell, I think he gets that low down swampy feel down. I love some dirty blues. Makes me bob my head and tap my feet. Good job!
Its a guy in a room with a guitar a harp and some equipment. I might not be as talented as you, but I sure can't bang out a beat on some drums, play the base lick, blow a little on my harmonica, play a little slide, and sing all at the same time. As for swampy dirty blues, I live 3 hours from the Mississippi delta. I have heard dirty, greasy, sweaty, working's man blues. This isn't quite that gritty, but the man is doing his thing and I like it.

Johnson is American slang for penis. Great vid, though. Love these instructional presentations. Fuck guitar lessons.
kiloscott 4 years ago
Johnson is also a resonator guitar brand. You can play with either one, it's up to you.
JSarmbru 4 years ago
Right,
That was implicit in my post. French guy author of this vid is unaware of that, however.
Why am I attracting all this know-nothing rebuttal?
kiloscott 4 years ago
That's what you call having a feel for it and the talent to express it!

I would guess this is multiple track recording and looping. I would like to know about the equipment involved. How many tracks are you working with?
I have done some this myself, but not to this extent--awsome.
kandfi 4 years ago
this is a"jamman digitech"pédale,i can record many tracks on one ,you can see in my new vid"slidebass"
