Gary Numan was way ahead of his time, especially with this song. I love this genre of music! I can't believe how much new synthesizers are nowadays (in the thousands)!!!
Good Synths have always been expensive though! The Jupiter and Prophet-5 back in their day were in the thousands too.
To be fair, you could get a JX3P or Juno for quite cheap back then - but still nowadays you can get a microKORG, SH201, Micron or Evolver for about £300!
One things for sure though, analouge synths beat the hell out of digital ones (sound wise!). =]
