I was there-still got the ticket! Coming home on the train from Wembley to Southampton Central-every level crossing the cars were flashing lights and hooting.
what a season ..... i was 11 years old only been watching saints for 2 1/2 years and seeing your team win the cup can only be described as heaven.....i always remember the semi final and the drive home via fleet will stick in my head forever as it had not sunk in until then , seeing the service station swamped with fans.
Great vid love it

Excellent vid. Great to see Good Ol' Mick in fine spirits, as well as Big Lawrie.

Coleman was the best commentator for Sporting occasions. Never been the same since.

Offside! Definitely offside! Should have gone to extra time. Even a football pundit looked at this recently and said that it was offside!
deanie557 1 year ago
There's litterally no way of knowing for sure...Having seen it....Hmmm possibly offside but who cares? =]

What a day - I was there, and I was there again in 2003, and I'll be there when Saints rise again.

For Saints to rise again is not enough. Portsmouth must fall also!!!

I just feel sorry for my dad.
At 12 years old, he was stupid enough to throw his cup final coupon at a player, of whom I can't remember, who had been sent off!
It's still one of his life's biggest regrets.

Fantastic SOUTHAMPTON!
A great victory against Man. United.
LAWRIE MACMENEMY, MICK CHANNON, BOBBY STOKES and others were giants in that afternoon.
