That's probably the reason they did it in stop motion... or maybe because it just looks cool.

@girsbuddy Actually it does work. While making the credits they had to modify it a lot from the bottom so it could stand up straight. The director has it now and in his commentaries he says that it works but breaks down all the time xD

@girsbuddy A vespa without an engine is a lot lighter = easier to move by hand. Which helps if you're doing stop motion xD
