@imonthedeadly60 I havent played the 3 one yet. so i think there is a possibility that Saturos and Menardi are alive. Saturos and Menardi fell into the Venus lighthouse Maybe the psyenergy there held them alive, until they had enough psyenergy to break out of the lighthouse.

I have played the 3rd game, puzzles are much easier than in the first two games.

There's a lot of dialogue which can be frustrating at times, but meh...

I'd still buy it though, for the sake of knowing the plot-line

There is going to be a war for control of Weyard, and Alex is going to be leading that war. He wants to rule and he's going to hunt down Isaac and the golden sun teams for that little bit of power he's missing to have unlimited power and unlimited life, and Felix and Isaac are going to band together to stop him. That's what i think.

I'm pretty sure I cried the first time I saw Isaac reuniting with him Mom in the family hug part. I teared up again just now watching the whole reunion with everyone scene. Can't wait for GS3! There are supposed to be Psynergy portals that sap all Psynergetic power away from anyone who gets too close. Watching this scene makes me think that it's Alex at the center of Weyard messing around.

alex at the end wanted to destroy vale which totally seemed out of the blue probrably destroying the last place anyone would try to seal alchemy again

destroying it not out of evilness but out of necessity.....nonetheless it would have been destroyed by the golden sun anyways

By far one of the greatest RPGs ever made... and the most underrated. I want a Golden Sun DS to come out, but when I heard it featured you playing as Isaac's kid, I was turned off by the prospect of playing as another 17 year old kid. I mean, c'mon Camelot, your audience has grown up, so same should go for your games too.

Also, I was hoping the next game would incorporate some of the same ideas as it's predecessors, but still be separate from it, like the final fantasy games...

Oh, that's easy! Just go to the Mia's house in Imil (one with two old ppl) and get the empty bottle in the chest. Then beat the Mercury lighthouse, and the water of the lighthouse will flow again. Approach the fountain where old lady asks you if you want to drink and press a on the fountain. Then go to items and use the empty bottle on it. Now go back to the forest, get inside the Trent tree, fall down all the way from the top level and you'll see the tree spirit. Use water on him :D

Huh. I see. It's been a while since I saw this, and I remember the ending being a cliffhanger. But I guess it really isn't, though it is reason enough for a sequel. I remember Alex receiving a great amount of power and nearly becoming an immortal god, but I don't remember him being swallowed up by the earth. So I guess that may allow him to come back later, even though the next game will deal with their descendants. Ganondorf syndrome much? lol

Here, this is where I think GS3 should have begun. You should have played as Alex, in a different dimension after being sucked into Mt. Aleph. There would be more lighthouses with different elements (meaning different Djinni). You would form another group, and the two parties from the last games would try and find a way in to hunt you down.

The final battle would be your four character party against both 4 character groups from the previous games.

Though,it's a bit paradoxal the final boss isn't even the toughest.If you get all 72 Djinns (Including the ones to load from GS1) you can fight the ULTIMATE badass...Dullahan,the headless-fearless-weaknessless guardian-monster-something.
