I think you have it backwards, but blessing and best wishes to you. It is though giving to other that we recieve. If you are talking about material things then yes, you get more by giving to yourself. If you corolate material abundance to well being then by all means give to yourself. But when it comes to love, you do have to give it to get it. When you speak of matters of the spirit, well that just comes on it's own. You can't buy it or sell it.

Actually, by Law of Return, if the patient donates or pays the back the energy (may it be money or any other way) to the healer, the healing energy will work many times faster because the person is giving something in return with the intention to be healed =), if they pay in advance the healing process starts even BEFORE the healing session has even started! =)

Im a artist/healer and what your talking about is correct. I know a lot about the corruption in art and would not like the idea of catering to the rich with my art but in the same sense its not going anywhere. I have thought that the people who seem to get or take so much from me do not realize what it took for me just to become the person who i am today. I hate to say in one way or another you do have to market yourself as a artist/healer to have income from it. Free energy would also help.

Thank you for this video! I'm a motion graphics artist who always had trouble charging people so I never really go as high as I could. It really is because I didn't value myself as much! Now I realize that by charging my worth, I can weed out the people who will be taking advantage of me and just have the people who are passionate enough to invest the same amount of "energy" or money as I am.

Charging money for services has nothing to do with loving yourself authentically - it is to do with survival anxiety.

Giving away for free has nothing to do with what other people may think - it has to do with being the right thing to do in all truthfullness. Mother nature keeps on giving and giving and giving. Personally, I've learnt rare techniques that I know some charge 300 euros per hour, and there is still no shortage of demand. When we charge, people value the time, skills and continuous training that allows us to be so effective in assistance. For all healers, I recommend offering a short free healing as an incentivising h'ordeuvre. Funnily, however, I've found with many..

at 7min 18secs I smiled huge and I currently am paused at 19 seconds. All i could think about when you say "The how dare you" is my line on "Oh this person is writing a book" and their in it for the money and then i state, your working a job and thus the same topic as you are saying.

Back to the point, I was thinking within' this video that the argument for "How dare you" is a resource based economy and the capitalistic society is evil in general which we are all forced into today.

Thank you for this post. I needed to have this stuff reinforced. I'm practicing this new pattern of asking for what I want and also believing in myself and focusing on my passion and just believing in my own abundance, but sometimes I get thrown off onto negative because I still might over-analyze people who are critical. I totally get this...I am 5 weeks away from being a Licensed Massage Therapist, and already I have had my hands on SOO many people. They put their trust in me, and often open up to me about really personal matters. And to know I will aoon be able to support myself too, by supporting others is a great gift.

Right on, well said. Since my hubby is an artist, we have seen so many artists basically charge 50 cents an hour for their work. They will work solid for a month on a beautiful painting and charge a ridiculously low price like $150. and then be gushing and grateful that somebody even bought it! No wonder the name starving artist came about! As a healer I sometimes give exchanges and give free sessions but have no problem charging as I give it my all, every time.

I understand what @AlienStephmother is saying, however, Leija, from my perspective, speaks like a true zen teacher. She repeats and says things in different ways, then paraphrases her own thoughts naturally - but this is what is truly getting the message across. Watch any Buddhist teacher, or any other type of spiritual master, most of them will use many metaphors and repeat things in different ways a LOT. Is like how certain things happen in life repeat to get the point across.
