i wish i could find the mike-tim (kevin bacon)-darren storyline on youtube. mike was investigating the muder of darren's girlfriend. tim was the main suspect. darren was the son of a senator. this would be roughly 1981. in a reenactment of bacon's death scene from friday the 13th (or a reenactment of nancy loomis's death in halloween), mike lunged from the back seat of a car and slapped his hand over tim's mouth. in the commercials it looked like a horror movie preview.
I seem to remember one episode in which Kristen Vigard sang to Kelly, does anyone remember that episode, and know if it is available on youtube too? This was my favorite couple- there weren't too many younger red-heads on soaps who were considered pretty then.
Did you know that this girl was supposed to be the very first Annie on Broadway? Kristin Vigard, was chosen to play Annie, They came in and told her they replaced her with Andrea McArdle. They showed a movie about this on Showtime last year. Kristin told about it and began to cry.

I saw a clip of her here on youtube and she still looks young. She's about in her mid 40s now and she looks like she's in her 20s.
OK, I love Kristin Vigard. This takes me back to my childhood when I watched soaps as a kid, and the Kelly/Morgan storyline is one of the first that I remember from soaps. I was mad when they replaced her with Jennifer Cooke, but now I see why. She seems sooo much younger than John. It's like he's talking to someone in junior high, and I guess b/c of her youthful appearance they chose to go with someone older, especially since later on Josh came into the picture...(cont'd)...
Kristin was interviewed in one of the December 08 SOD issues. She talked about one time on the set when a guy offered Morgan a joint and tried to make a move on her. To lighten the mood, she changed her line to, "Well, I'm a virgin, so I can't f*** you, but I'll smoke your pot!" Everyone laughed.
I know many prefer Jennifer Cooke's version of Morgan, but I was particularly fond of Kristin Vigard's version of Morgan (as presented here). Maybe because I was a junior in high school when Morgan was introduced on GL. As a straight man, I just found Vigard particularly attractive (the girl next door).
I, too, preferred Kristen Vigard over Jennifer Cooke as Morgan. Kristen had a unique look and persona, and Jennifer, while good, seemed more like a generic soap actress. (But it was Jennifer who went on to prime-time success in "V: The Series.") John Wesley Shipp also had better chemistry with Kristen. It was not surprising that GL broke up Kelly & Morgan after Jennifer took over the role.
Look at the way the guys stand with their hands on their hips. Gotta love the 80's.
