What are you holding in your hands? Are they also strapped to your wrists? They appear to be hand guards or possible used to help grasp the wheels and brake.
@antiaverage1 Yes they're attached to the wrist guards and can be applied to the tyre for stopping. They are shapped to the tyre and have replacable pads inside. A good skater who can effectively do a T-stop would not need them. I'm mostly wearing them for testing purposes. They've also given me a lot of extra protection the last few times that I have fallen, so that's a bonus
they look amazing! too bad they are $4,200 :( I would pay $1000 for a heavier slower model
