i find this really lacking if done on global scale but learning language should always be more social.. good for you and the rest.. this is to isolated from social behavior
If they have games that teach Japanese people to speak English, do they have a game to teach English people to learn Japanese?! If they do please reply to this, I'm trying to teach myself, but struggling :(
You might have found this out already, but they do have "My Japanese Coach" for the Nintendo DS. I've heard some people say it's good for some of the basics. I'm not sure which of the 3(I think that's all they have)"alphabets" it teaches though.
yea our coutry needs to do it too, We bought our son a leap pad when he was 3 in hopes to improve his reading, vocabulary etc, he ended up being put up a year ahead of his class because he was ahead of the other kids.
Now that he's 7 and the leap pads a bit babyish for him we got him a nintendo. He's only just started using it for educational purposes but Im sure that the educational games are going to help him once more to excel. I will let you all know how well he does at the end of this year
it can be easy to learn kanji if nintendo made japanese lesson or chinese lesson like the english lesson he made for the french and european market ^^.
Yes that would be awesome. Like Rosetta Stone for DS only not as expensive... More people might use the program if it was as much as a regular video game for ds. I'm learning Japanese and it helps me a lot to watch drama and see the words with English subtitles. Plus you can save on paper and help the enviornment with using ds. :)
@SakuCake if you're an average-smart kid, then you can do it yourself. just buy an "R4i-3d" card ( ebay sells it for about $30 ) , then, download "DS Game Maker" ( a 16yo kid created this software ), and then, watch some tutorial vids here on youtube ( ie: ?v=aA6TXkrI9fo )

That classroom looks so bleak. I'm so happy I go to school here in America. I have no idea how my parents could of survived in those classes.

I know right, even the classrooms in the college I went too looked more inviting that that, and it was pretty minimal.
