  • Funny how the English Teacher speaks to Aussie interviewers in Japanese

  • it's only easy because there's 26 letters, just wait until they learn grammar

  • Wow that classroom looks dull

  • @Gman867 i was thinking the same thing! Hahahaha

  • So she's an english teacher who doesn't speak english

  • how would they know if the kids are just playing with each other with the wi-fi

  • "Damnit, Trisha! Put your notebook away, take out your DS." Now that would be a day.

  • I actually introduced brain games to my math teacher and he says hes gonna buy one and bring it to school one day XD

  • They have to dub the english teacher? :/

  • I WISH I CAN LEARN LIKE THAT

  • they do this in my school.

but i slip in mario kart till the class is over :P

    teach never notices...

  • i find this really lacking if done on global scale but learning language should always be more social.. good for you and the rest.. this is to isolated from social behavior

  • i wish usa could do that!

  • Nice, oba-chan~

  • If they have games that teach Japanese people to speak English, do they have a game to teach English people to learn Japanese?! If they do please reply to this, I'm trying to teach myself, but struggling :(

  • there should be one, we have a chinese language game on nintendo ds

  • really? koolio, then there MUST be one that teaches you Japanese!!!! lolz hehehe!!!! ^_^

  • You might have found this out already, but they do have "My Japanese Coach" for the Nintendo DS. I've heard some people say it's good for some of the basics. I'm not sure which of the 3(I think that's all they have)"alphabets" it teaches though.

  • Its called "My Japanese Coach"

  • Thank you!

  • we should do that here in the U.S. as well!!! what? its for educational purposes right??.... *hihi...

  • action replay! lol

  • yay now mabye we can speak to them in english

  • That classroom looks so bleak. I'm so happy I go to school here in America. I have no idea how my parents could of survived in those classes.

  • I know right, even the classrooms in the college I went too looked more inviting that that, and it was pretty minimal.

  • were can i get this ds game

  • I think nintendo DS should be easier to hold... it just fall's outta your hand....

  • Mrs. Okubo is hawt.

  • yea our coutry needs to do it too, We bought our son a leap pad when he was 3 in hopes to improve his reading, vocabulary etc, he ended up being put up a year ahead of his class because he was ahead of the other kids.

Now that he's 7 and the leap pads a bit babyish for him we got him a nintendo. He's only just started using it for educational purposes but Im sure that the educational games are going to help him once more to excel. I will let you all know how well he does at the end of this year

  • You should get him Brain Age and Brain Age 2 they are fun and really help Academacly

  • yup got em ;), also got crazy machines, maths and spelling.

  • That's really good. I'm happy for you and your son.

  • YEY! ASIA i live in asia!

  • jejeje very good nintendo ds awesome!!

  • Bring this to UK!!

  • My class does this! We play brain training, more brain training, maths training, big brain academy and my word coach.

  • WHAT ABOUT A PSP HA...

  • PSP ont have Brain age because they dont have Touch screens!! HAHAHA!!!

  • PSP got kawashima's brain training..

  • Thats cool. I would like it if our school did that. (Or if our school even taught second languages) But of course; Georgia sucks.

  • it can be easy to learn kanji if nintendo made japanese lesson or chinese lesson like the english lesson he made for the french and european market ^^.

  • Yes that would be awesome. Like Rosetta Stone for DS only not as expensive... More people might use the program if it was as much as a regular video game for ds. I'm learning Japanese and it helps me a lot to watch drama and see the words with English subtitles. Plus you can save on paper and help the enviornment with using ds. :)

  • I wish my class did that -.-;;

  • @SakuCake if you're an average-smart kid, then you can do it yourself. just buy an "R4i-3d" card ( ebay sells it for about $30 ) , then, download "DS Game Maker" ( a 16yo kid created this software ), and then, watch some tutorial vids here on youtube ( ie: ?v=aA6TXkrI9fo )
