  • There's a nameplate-less elevator in Speight here at ECU... always wondered what the make was.

  • Failed to mention, its a Dover, just because it looks exactly like this.

  • "It's a dover"

If I had a quarter for every time you've said that

  • Nice elevator, and was this elevator programmed for up-peak? The bell sounds like a Montgomery elevator, and the cab fan sounds like that of an Otis elevator.

  • I don't think so, somebody had just gotten off the elevator, and as you can tell I got in the elevator as quick as I could. You know how some people can be about photography in a building :)

  • Yes, I know, there are those who are picky about photography, even if it's not a crime.

  • and you are EXACTLY right!! photography is NOT a crime. a building accesable to the public is a PUBLiC place even if privately owned. You can take pictures there HOWEVER they have the right to tell you to either stop or leave.

  • Yes, I know that buildings that are public access can be privately or publically owned. And they should not tell people to stop photographing, unless it's private/secured access, or has a sign posted saying "No Photography."

  • yes. if it is public and even if a sign is posted their only remedy is to ask you to stop or leave. You were harassed at the UT library 17th floor, and i was harassed at the comfort inn. NEITHER YOU OR ME did anything wrong as you stayed in the elevator, and I was in the hallway, not private rooms.

  • I know, but since my mom works for UT Austin, I simply didn't ride that elevator again, and I now follow the signs that say about places being restricted access, so I don't go into that elevator anymore.

  • If i do it all i have to worry about is getting thrown out. as long as i get the video first, thats all i care about. my sister said it is very easy to access and as long as you don't get out of it, nobody should bother me.

  • I think it's sometimes best to do the elevator in the cab, so there would be no trouble.

  • Yeah! I wasn't happy when that NH mall security guard harassed me even though I didn't take a pic of a store.....

  • Yes, I too get disappointed when things like that happen.

  • Well for being in such a rush, you still had time to show us your fingernails and train! That elevator has the same buttons as a hotel I stayed in a few weeks ago. However the indicator was red instead of clear.
