i prefered Burnout 1 and 2 as well. The reason is Burnout 1 had far more traffic on the roads, and it was a challenge to get your boost up. Also Burnout 1 and 2 had more varied level designs. and the way the music stops playing or fades out when you boost it cool too. Final reponse, is the Bus and Tow Truck were fun to play as, and the replay mode in the first was awesome, looked real. if they could put those features back to Burnout, it would be great ^ ^

Overall this game was awesome. It really felt like a classic. However I was really dissapointed with checkpoint countdown system. So I decided to beat the game to unlock and try out free mode. Turns out free mode just takes out the traffic and not the timer. That makes it even worse.

@NTComputer86 That's not a glitch. "Wrong Way Charlie" as I refer to it is actually a trick used to make you crash into him and lose the race. If you pay attention to every race in Burnout and Burnout 2 *I don't remember if any others have this*, the last lap always have extra cars in weird spots, the traffic pattern is changed, stoplights that were green the last 3 laps are now red, etc. It's not a bug. It's something they threw in there to screw with you.

But I didn't considered it a bug. Back then, I thought it was very realistic, because it's normal that some people try to overtake other vehicles. That van was simply trying to overtake that truck.

At least that was what I thought back then, and I thought it was awesome :D

I agree Burnout 3 was the best one, from then on they got gradually worse. Burnout Paradise is good but it doesn't have the feel of the older games. They took out crash mode too.

its not bad. its better than 3 and revenge, but 1 and 2 were probly the best 2. burnout paradise is great though, because the game has such a huge map, and there are so many races, i havent covered the entire map yet just cruising around, and theres expansion packs for more races and challenges. its very fast paced, like the other burnouts, so theres a lot of traffic dodging involved and walls to steer clear of.

Burnout Paradise is the most fun.

Especially if you play online, the freeburn challenges are so much fun.

And then it has the Ghosbusters car, the I am Legend car, KITT and General Lee...

And all the cop cars...

god dam, the classic old games are the best, the graffics and things you can do in them are limited, but that didnt matter, it was fun, nowdays its only about graffics (example: gta iv isnt about what it used to be, you can't go as crazy as u can in the older ones.)

I loved burnout 2 as well. The early games felt more unforgiving; it was arcadey but in a twitch sense; the precision needed to not crash was amazing. I remember renting when it came out, it was HARD. Now you can run into anything and as long as it isn't head-on, you'll survive.

But I prefer the newer Burnouts over this.

its more of a classic, i think it was one of the first games where they could actually figure out how to make the cars crumble. id have to say burnout 2 is my favorite because its got a good gameplay with better crashes, and its not too exagerrated. and theres not slow motion every time u hit something

I had this for the Game cube, I got it when I was ten, (4 years ago) and how i used to play on it all the time and own at it. Really takes you back. Shows how much of the classic bits have been removed in newer version of games these days!

I remember this original Burnout game was quietly released with almost no fanfare. I love racing games so I got it near it's release date and could not believe how fun it was! It is hard to go back to now because you can't hit ANYTHING. The newer Burnout games have spoiled us. This game is a classic.

I personally do NOT like the Gamecube version of Burnout.... The soundtracks sound wierd! The PS2 version is WAYY better.

And I also wish that they put The Saloon GT in every Burnout as well as Custom Coupe Ultimate.

I dont know certainly, but in this game the fastest car is the Saloon GT, and its top speed is nearly 149 mph with boost. In the burnout 2 the cars are faster, they can get 160 mph.

Burnout Paradise is pretty pants! Whatever happened to two players in your own house, that was much more fun, than this internet bullshit. Sony think that people who play PS3 games don't have friends who can come round and play with you on the same console. For people like me who have a pS3 and no wireless internet connection Burnout Parasise would suck. :-(

i dont think they will make it for nintendo anymore because of the intense graphics, u should definetely try the new one that came out, burnout paradise, theyve really made it alot better, if you like the origional burnout and burnout 2, i think you will like this version, they include all the music from burnout 1 and 2, and they brought back alot of the old cars, and changed the gameplay alot, loads faster, ... its just a really great game, the city is bigger than carbon or midnight club 3's.

There was a glitch on interstate where if you got far enough in front and you're going into the tunnels, a white van will come out of nowhere in oncoming traffic.
