@54spatula But really, there are no "dangerous" dogs. There are strog and powerful dogs that have big heads and strong bites, but dogs are not born thinking "Oh! There's a human! I am going to eat that human because I have the power to do so!" or "Oh! There is a dog! I am a dog who hates dogs so I am going to eat that one over there!" There are horrid owners who TRAIN their dogs to attack and they most always choose the bigger breeds giving the bigger breeds a bad name making people think "evil"

BUT if my rottie and my neighbors dobie got into a fight my rottweiler would probably win. not that i want them to fight. but dobies are guard dogs they might be a little faster than rotties but once a rottie has you and wants to tear you up good luck getting out of that.

I think every dog is loyal. Every dog is loyal to the human being that feeds and takes care of them forsure, unless you beat the dogs ass for no reason.

but i have a rottie and he is awesome! GREAT GUARD DOG, my 80 yr old neighbor has a dobie and that dog is a great guard dog also. if someone walks in the our back yards both our dogs start barking like crazy, there both territorial

They are both great working breeds. The Rottweiler and Doberman are about the same height but on average the Rottie is 50% heavier and therefore much more powerful. However, Rotties have low stamina whereas the Dobie is much quicker, far more athletic and has endless stamina. Different body types on these distantly related breeds. Both will guard you with their last breath and are very intimidating when angry. I've owned and bred Dobermans and known many Rottweilers owned by friends.

Nevermind, it's my OWN rottie. That picture was taken for spanish wikipedia when it was four or five years old. Today it is and older guy, 12 years old, and it is starting to have problems with joints, so he's using anti-inflammatories for live. I think it will die until he has 14 years, but he has been my best friend all these years. Or, better to say, my best SON. I'll miss he a lot when he dies, but it's the life...

@Peladudo rots have the strongest bite pressure force of any breed including pitts. dobermans are better watch dogs but the rot would inflict the most damage & could easily kill a human.
