  • Amo a esta mujer.

  • omg...i was a sophmore when this song came out <3 memories :o)

  • Yeah, Tori, Sarah McLachlan, Sarah Brightman...all fucking divas! You go girls! They all give me chills and goosebumps when I hear them!

  • @AudioEngineer5 minus the vulgarity and I totally agree :)

  • What makes Ms Amos a stellar artist, is her command of the piano, talent and confidence in herselft. She is a rare pop talent that transcends all generes. When you hear her, you know she is the BOSS.

  • yeah me likes tori too! for a long time

  • She's incredible...wonderful singing and piano playing, really close to the album version, if the audio quality was better then it would be even better than the original.

Plus, there's something about redheads with red lipsticks

  • Ultimately beautiful artist; and you'll never see her 'sell out'...except in tickets to her concerts! ;P

  • now I'm hungry for some cornflakes!

  • You'll always be my girl.

  • Ummm.... Wolflore is right. WTF? She ie astoundingly talented, perhaps she has included telekinesis

  • @Lserating yay! It was the backing track, I heard from @annadiorella

  • Love Tori - so into her music. This is talent

  • 2:20 piano plays without her touching it -_-

    ...I Knew She Was God...

  • @TheWOLFLORE it was part of her backing track hehe but yeah u noticed that

  • @annadiorella lol yeah, she still a goddess :)

  • @TheWOLFLORE You're right! I thought she didn't do that sort of thing! I hope she doesn't do that in concert, cause if she does she's been fooling us!

  • @HelloMrZebra she acctually was playing, but they had a backing track behind the piano. Everyone does it because it makes the music sound way better and can play notes that you might miss. :)

  • @TheWOLFLORE yes she is good, no miming is for hacks, you pay for it live not just for some fucker to play a cd at you, it doest make it sound better it just throws dirt in the face of what it is to be an artist and degrades something that should be beautiful to something that makes money, i hope she's picked up her act in this 17 year gap

  • @gruntfuckle Yeah, She's Great. In AND out of Concert. A goddess. And that's all I understand.. =]

  • @TheWOLFLORE Yes, and there is also an invisible drum set and bass player. Your point? This is clearly the recorded version playing. Most TV shows back then never used live performances, and it wasn't up to the artists whether to play live or not. If you have any doubt about Toris piano skills, I suggest you consult one of the hundreds of actual live concert tapings here on youtube. ;)

  • @TheWOLFLORE

You know she's a God, but you don't know you're one.....

....it's okay, I know you are.

  • I love the nintiesness of this.

  • Sweet ass legs.....

  • God she's amazing.

  • tori amos is a gigaforce.

  • She's amazing. I love the outfit.

  • This song to me is a parable for how in my first few semesters of college I was finally considered to be "cute" or "pretty" even thought in high school I was a "Plain Jane." It was hard for me to adjust to the positive attention.

  • OUTFIT ! #hotness

  • "Rabbit, where'd you put the keys, girl?"

  • she's so hot... and i'm blind

  • whoa she is so amazing love her cute outfit too

  • Me pones xD

  • This performance was near fucking perfection.....

    (Awesome socks :P)

  • Tori Amos doesn't sing songs--they sing her.

  • Like the socks.

  • I was a cornflake girl in the 80's, a raisin girl in the 90's. And today? Well, today I'm a fruit loop, still searching for a resolution to my existential cereal crisis.

(Click 'like" if you love Tori but struggle to make sense of her lyrics!)

  • @Sherri2008 There actually is a meaning behind the lyrics, I believe it pertains to some female mutilation or something in africa in the 90's or something. Wikipedia it up.

  • @Sherri2008 'I never was a boo boo berries girl...'

  • @danno700 Ha ha ha! "Never was a pork chop girl." Gosh, we could come up with all kinds of hilarious replacements!

  • Comment removed

  • @Sherri2008 my theory is that she tryed to fit in but never did because she is her own person

  • @Sherri2008 I remember hearing in the 90's that this was based on her experience auditioning for a cornflake commercial and feeling really out of place among the other girls...but who knows what it all really means, got to find your own meanings, as in any poetry.

  • anyone notice how Tori plays piano and how GaGa plays, seems like GaGa is stealing Tori's sitting position lol. Hey, could be true.

  • nice suit o'brien

  • wow -she is so hot

  • I am an avid Tori amos follower I think she has alot to offer our females in the world.

  • originality just doesnt seem to exist anymore does it?.... people of the 00,s ... please take a leaf out of this amazing womens book!!....

  • @nicolaf123 listen to jonsi - go do

the problem is not that original acts exist...the problem is they are not provided for us to hear. you have to really look

  • @nicolaf123

But if they take a leaf out of her book, will they really be original?

  • God I think she was so gorgeous before the plastic surgery<3

  • ...in the name of the goyim god.. thin he knows do much..

..in thename of the goyin god.. think he knows sooo much...

.. round eye.. where u put ur keyes girl...

..round eye.. where u put ur keyes girl..

ya.. what's that monstrosity doing on my temple..

  • @uroshjovan

    Um, are you high?

  • i still don't know whats that disgusting thing doing on my temple..

  • I love her pot-enhanced gaze from this era. It's this wonderful cross between vacant and sensual.

  • @ruithael

Her "pot-enhanced gaze from this era?" LMAO!

  • gotta love that woman

  • jam.. i see where you're heading.. but it's still sick son.... Tori makes music rip out of every pore, but don't make that tune nasty..... listen to the pure tone of it all...

  • she is a badass woman, daaaammmnnnn!!!

  • I lover!!!! I want to mary that bad-ass pianoist! YOU BET YOUR LIFE IT IS..

  • The most remarkable thing about this performance is just how it literally CRACKLES. The music is this incredible electricity coursing through her...

A true performer and a true artist.

  • 名曲だぁね☆

  • lol, conan looks like a kid.

  • Um, at 2:22, she takes her hands off the keyboard, but you still hear a piano. WTF?

  • She's playing to the backing track.

  • @PeelOutTheWatchward She's not playing to a back track. There was no back track in the original composition which was WHEN she went on stage. No one had heard of this song...not even the band. She went on and they blended. If one holds the peddle down of the piano the notes carry do they not...a longer distance. However, the original was when she wore a cape that was once defined by a UK ruler in the mid 1600's. Thus, someone may have added a track in the studio AFTERWARDS. Hmm?

  • @iriswigle yeh right you see her take her hand off the keys and it hits more notes, im not fuckin retarded the pedal wont do that

  • She's imitating a style made famous by Jerry Lee Lewis. Only a handful of people were aware that Jerry Lee had lost his leg. Well, he didn't lose it. It had been cut off...I thought between 1950 - 1953. It is just part of the focus, the drive, the anger and the keyboard. It was just part of the Jerry Lee household style I would guess. You may have a different answer...right?

  • @iriswigle

    I am sorry but..

What the F are you talking about O.o

  • Which part? The leg part? Jerry Lee would stand quite a bit when he was younger to play the piano as it bothered his leg too much. Tori is imitating a style not quite her own. Tori was using one of Jerry Lee pianos which she often did as she had inherited it before the death thing. Didn't I already say that?

  • If Conan was so good, then why did they dump him??? Physical comedy doesn't work on late night. What is she doing with the corner of the bench?? Leg back, she's gittin' off...i'd wager

  • Great song

  • I love Tori like a mom.

  • jammatther what a great comment!

  • I miss Conan. I wonder how he got through the whole thing. How many shows was it?

  • i've only just got into tori, but i feel like she's already a part of me. she's like a sticky lolipop that was poorly wrapped and has spread all across my pocket. only the pocket is my brain and i want to have sex with tori's music. only, it's not that kind of thing. i want to have a personal, profound relationship with her music. which i feel is already developing. FUCK! don't you feel like she's become a part of you? it's infectious. she doesn't even sing melodies. she sings her humanity.

  • @jamMatther I couldn't agree with you more. It's very hard to describe in words what she does to me.

  • What the hell, at 0.31 he just drops the album onto the table like it's nothing :\

  • bravo....way to read into nothing.

  • @SuicideBetty

Ok, "SuicideBetty" has to be the best screen name ever! LMAO

  • yeah the piano kept playin....but its a talk show sooo they have to do sound a different way...or she coulda been hittin the peddles with her foot...i know some pianos do that...still a cool video and great song

  • I was on live show with this song in Aspen CO long ago but still can`t forget that great performance! I discover her that day and am so happy about it! On that concert as a warming up musician was Stive Miller live, accustic, without band...Fill sorry for myself

  • sexiest women on this planet

  • Great video!

  • hm, there is a dodge moment about half way through where she takes her hands of the piano and it keeps playing...

    love this song though

  • The first three bass notes of the riff are actually on the backing track to make sure she comes in on time. It's no biggie ...

  • Yeah, what is with that? But yes, good song.

  • is this guy braindead or something?

  • She had nice legs

  • @conradsz she still has them!!

  • yes :)

  • wow what a rare video!! conan is young..so is tori!

  • "the Killer" would approve.

  • When Tori is done with a concert, they have to throw her piano away. Bitch is fierce!

  • seriously though, do they really throw her piano away??

  • If you whacked off then you are hell-bound!

  • she rides her stool very well pure shakti!!!women

  • if u ever get a chance to see her live.....do it...seriously..just do it.

  • ok...i think i will

  • I know this is obvious, but ... damn, Tori is a bad motherfucker on the piano.

  • Oh hell yes she is. I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to bite off Conan's head, and spit it back into the audience after this performance. Gives me goosebumps, this woman...

  • @LuckilyHeDied

    Well said!

  • @LuckilyHeDied

I love the way you put that...lol

  • Amazing! Love watching Tori back in the day. She is number 1 in my book. Obsessed!

  • Ah, those were the days..now, where is that Sandman-book for which she wrote an intro? And LOL @ Conans hair, hea

  • Death:the cost of living, I think.

  • What a treasure, Torri you are fantastic!

  • I'm more Kate Bush ...

but at this stage Tori was grat, I must admit

  • Also sexy

  • i wish i could play the piano like her.

  • I wish, to be this piano

  • I wish, to be this piano bench

  • i wish i was the piano keys. she could tickle me to death with her solo part

  • lol :)

  • Me too, me try. Oh, I try. No good :)

  • does anyone know if the original music video for this is posted here anywhere?

i love this song, and the video was awesome, and i havent seen it for ages.

  • henHH...HUGE lady!! indeed! ...my hearth my hearth ! lol bye

  • Too bad in 1994 she always played it with the prerecorded instruments: drum, bass and background vocals, even in her own show.

    1998 version is my fav.

  • weird, i love how its done in 1994.

  • i noticed that...i thought the video and audio were out of sync when i heard the piano still playing when her hands were off the keys...

  • the only parts of the backing track that have prerecorded piano are some bass note transitions, she's playing everything else.

  • correct - there is only a "bed" of some chords - some vocals.....she is a complete pro - like billy joel, elton john - she was kid and prob. had some pre production advice....no one can touch here as a live arist. IMHO in over 10 years....! im a pro level musician - so i know this stuff - lol...she is a WORLD class talent....one in a million singer / player..... : )

  • alot of of artist will play the first part of the song and then have it recorded as they play then the put a loop on it

im not sure if thats wut was done here but owell i still love her

  • When they close up on her face, that is when they add the piano.

  • Oh no! Some piano parts are prerecorded! You can tell when she stops playing and the piano keeps going. Too bad, because she's incredible at playing this song live! I hate when TV shows have prerecorded music.

  • everytime she plays that solo it puts me in trance, where I shut out everything else around me and focus in on her playing. For me it is spellbinding.

  • Funny seeing such a young Conan O' Brien welcome her at the start... Actually I think he and Tori are about the same age.

Good performance too although the backing-tracks put some limitations.

  • what an outfit she's wearing- tori in a mini skirt and knee socks- wow!

  • @torifan666

    LMAO at your comment!

  • I love tori...this is a great performance too! I like her outfit-she looks kinda grunge! :D

  • lol I love Tori, but that outfit is horrible =P

  • well, it was the 90's. pretty sure i had a flannel skirt at some point too.

  • I thinkk its sexy lookin, and tori herself is a doll and a very underrated artist. Yes people I said ARTIST, a rare breed thease days. A majority of musicians are just in it for the money, so so sad. Talent thease days...geez people actually buy that shit? is this all we have to offer? thease are our choices?...I need a smoke. Good music (art) comes from the heart, its almost spontaneous its either going to work or not work. dont crap out some crap on a cd b/c your record producer has a deadline

  • Yes! Definitely an artist--a born artist at that that made her work material through passion and staggering dedication. Her story is actually quite inspiring. She does what feels good and true to her, and she happens to be a prodigy at the piano. Nobody in the rock world can play a piano like she does--good for us she decided not to go into world concert performance!

  • Hey, hey now! This is the 90's! :)

  • Don't be silly

  • Well this is funny because you haven't realise what you are in front of what Tori is...a NOTHING!And do you know why?because it's not only that you don't like her but you can't respect her at least!Or any other artist! And NOBODY use her...I guess somebody use you...

  • Oh wow, that was rude and she is gorgeous!

  • HOT! ;-)
