I still think this is one of NIN's best videos. They make it seem so easy, but it's very hard to all of this in one take with the camera constantly moving, playing the song "live" and have it be interesting.

Why does everyone think Trent was drunk or high? That's just the way he performed back then. High energy and all over the place. Sort of a mosh pit on stage. His shows BEFORE The Fragile were much better. Younger fans missed out.
And people saying this isn't live because it was filmed on a set... The SONG was performed live on a sound stage. LIVE doesn't always mean in front of a crowd of fans. They performed the song for the video instead of pretending to play to a playback recording
I remember seeing them play this at the SFX in Dublin in 1994... it was an awesome gig. What I particularly enjoyed was how the band unexpectedly launched back into a full on assault after Reznor finished singing the line "and everything is alright......" The place went crazy!

I still think this is one of NIN's best videos. They make it seem so easy, but it's very hard to all of this in one take with the camera constantly moving, playing the song "live" and have it be interesting.

Why does everyone think Trent was drunk or high? That's just the way he performed back then. High energy and all over the place. Sort of a mosh pit on stage. His shows BEFORE The Fragile were much better. Younger fans missed out.
And people saying this isn't live because it was filmed on a set... The SONG was performed live on a sound stage. LIVE doesn't always mean in front of a crowd of fans. They performed the song for the video instead of pretending to play to a playback recording

I remember seeing them play this at the SFX in Dublin in 1994... it was an awesome gig. What I particularly enjoyed was how the band unexpectedly launched back into a full on assault after Reznor finished singing the line "and everything is alright......" The place went crazy!
