I always felt sorry for the marines in Halo, there are already so few of them....

It is 100% real.

However, it is a custom mod I did just for fun. Just download HaloMapTools and swap the meta data for marines onto the pistol bullet and the data for grenades onto the rifle bullet. You then get instant spawn guns for both. Lay the grenades among the marines, throw one into the mix and BOOOOOM. :D
