  • The relationship between a man and a woman is called marriage. At its most basic level, it was nature that promoted that relationship, not any government. If the gays are not happy with the words "civil union" to describe their relationships, then maybe they should coin another word. Sorry, the word marriage is already taken. Marriage, the relationship between a man and a woman is a natural act and occurrence. A gay relationship IS NOT NATURAL and should not be confused with marriage.

  • honey, i dont care what u call it, but there should b a holy man readin a book, and 2 ppl saying theyre vows. and the pheonix of justice sings its sing 4 another day.

  • Is anyone seriously debating whether or not JEWS believe in equal rights and protection of those rights by our government, really.... c'mon. I am a Jewish, straight, female -and happy to have marched (strolled really) beside my brothers and sisters in Seattle last Saturday.

  • Hehehe...Good point. But then those who are arguing the point were not alive some 60 yrs. ago. They were not standing in line for the incinerator. But then I guess if it's not them who's rights are being restricted, then who cares.

    Hmmmmm.

    E!

  • THANK YOU, SEATTLE! Thank you for standing united with us here in California and all across our country. We WILL overcome. With lots of LOVE from your brothers and sisters in San Francsico.

  • I'm straight and I was there and it was awesome!! Equal rights NOW!!

  • Anarchists and queers need to obey the law or else be prosecuted. There is a reason the British have historically used the word faggot for a burning stick. Much the same as a faggot in hell. They need to repent or that is where they will end up.

  • Wow. Do you realize not everybody follows the same religion as you do, and that there is supposed to be a separation between church and state? I am Jewish, but you don't see me going around telling people that if they don't live their life the way I want them to, something bad will happen to them. By the way, the accepted vernacular is gay not queer. Don't be prejudice.

  • You guys shouldn't be predjudice against people of religion.

Q: Is it alright for a religion to preach that homosexuality is a sin???

I doubt I'll get any answers from people that are pushing the gay agenda

  • First of all, none of my statements were prejudice against the people of religion, as I am a religious person myself. In regards to your question, the answer is yes. Everyone is entitled to their own personal, religious beliefs so if someone believes that homosexuality is a sin, they have every right to teach it. However, it is wrong to assume that everyone has the same values as you do. Just because one person believes it is a sin, doesn't mean another person does.

  • Thanks for the reply. You are the only one that I've messaged with that has stated that. I've been having dialogues with several gay marriage proponents and no one will answer me. It's all smoke and mirrors and wrangling so they don't have to answer.

you seattle folks are pretty free thinkers. One of the problems is that it's a slippery slope when allowing gay marriage. Churches that refuse to marry gays would be sued for discrimination. Theres litigation in Mass right now.

  • Please cite the pending litigation in Massachusetts. Churches are protected under the U.S. Constitution. Churches can, will and do refuse marriage to couples gay and straight for a myriad of reasons. This is another of the lies perpetuated by the religious right.

  • If you were Jewish you would understand what the God of Abraham did to Sodom. And He is not concerned about your vernacular. A sodomite is simply a sinner headed for the furnace.

  • Please don't tell me what I should or should not understand as a Jew. I have been Jewish all of my life, and have studied it with a passion. Many Jews of the world, including ones here in the United States, and most of Israel don't have a problem with homosexuality. G-D is concerned with my vernacular by the way, because as a Jew, I am held accountable for my words and actions. Having respect for my fellow man is one of the most important values I take away from Judaism.

  • If you were a son of Abraham you would do the deeds of Abraham. Abraham prayed that God would deliver Lot from Sodom before it was fried. Are you warning the fags that they need to repent? If not you don't care much for them. They are headed for the furnace. Apostle Paul (a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin)gave clear warning as well in the 1st chapter of his letter to the Romans.

  • I care for homosexuals so much that I will stand up for their rights against people like you. You and I are of different faiths, so again, don't say what I need to do. You don't know Judaism at all. You may have studied it, but I have lived and breathed it all my life. Homosexuals are being persecuted today, as my people were by yours in the past, which is why the MAJORITY OF JEWS, stand in solidarity with gay community, and we will continue to.

  • Rather odd that my Jewish friends and relatives do not support the queer community. Most with any knowledge of their scripture and history know that it was sin that landed them in Babylon for 70 years, and it was Yahweh that judged them and let the Romans destroy their temple in 70 CE, near where they pray at the remaining wall in Jerusalem. Have it your way. God will judge you and your rebellious friends. Does the Holocaust mean nothing to you?

  • Your Jewish friends and relatives? How many do you know, five? If you had read the exit polls, you'd know that an overwhelming majority of Jews voted against prop 8. By the way, don't you dare talk to me about the holocaust like that. I had family that died in concentration camps, and comments like that just show how ignorant you are. You talk as if you know G-D, but G-D is something too complex for either one of us to understand.

  • Some of which have accepted Yeshuah Ha Meshiach. You might read the prophet Jeremiah's comments about God's judgment on Israel in chapter 16:13-16. God did just what He said he would do to the Jews. He restored Israel just as He promised and yet much of world still hates them. You need the Messiah which Isaiah chapter 53 speaks of. Don't take my word. Look it up. The next judgment will not be sweet.

  • I would have been there if a) I didn't live 2 hours away (I'm in Mason Co.) and b) I weren't so sick. :(

My heart and spirit were marching alongside everyone - this is FANTASTIC! We need to make the message strong and clear that hate and discrimination of ALL KINDS need to die.

  • We Felt it... Thanks for the Energy!

    Take Care,

    E!

  • I agree, hate and discrimination of ALL KINDS need to die! Even hate against religion!

  • Well... yes. It seems there aren't many folks who understand the concept of a Jesus who does not HATE. This is what I was taught as a Presbyterian growing up. There are even some gay ministers in the Presbytery, which (of course) is a big bone of contention for some. I say live and let love... if it isn't bothering me, why should I care? What business is it of mine? The LAST THING I want is for my Gay and Lesbian brothers and sisters to go running for the hills because I wear a cross.

  • I'm from California, its a shame prop. 8 pass. I'm glad your guys marching for us.

  • March for them, they obviously couldn't march to the voting booth!

    SORE LOSERS!

  • That was a good time, glad to see all the people that made it and the weather was good! I wonder how many people were estimated to of showed up.

  • Not sure, But that was a lot of people. And many were not gay, that's what made the day.

    Take Care,

    E!

  • And I squeezed 2 beers into the time frame!

It a great march. Wondering what the numbars were. I haven't seen or partook in a march that big.

It's nice to have a voice, and really nice to have my Homeedics foot massager, with infered heat.

    Take Care,

    E!

  • Wow Eric, you got this up quickly. An awesome day!
