Compared to today's production values, the opening titles are rather plodding and repetitive, but this was in the days before digital TV and the "MTV generation". How would a "yoof" show on mainstream television survive today?

@TheMicksterdee Quite right. You couldn't make "The Word" now for example, that was a product of the 90's as No Limits was a product of the 80's.
