The same exact thing happened to me and I noticed you had the energy sword as well as me. I think what happened was that the sword was trying to catch up to you but got caught in a glitch. when that happened you were already in the air, you went into his spartan because you may not grab the actual sword while doing the assassination animation.Causing you to go into his body acting like like the victim of the assassination.

not an accident, it was an anomaly when two things happen at once, two actions that both go to effect, only they are supposed to be uninterruptable, so when it happens, the kill goes to both bodies. the colour in the two normally goes away, then the assasin colour displaces to the victim. the assasin's body is underneath the floor, because that is where it goes in the displacement. but arent you a clever boy for running and getting your camera to show the world you have no social life

this "possassination" is a bug that happens when you try and assassinate some1 while hes on the ground but before you touch him (start the assassination sequence) he jumps (or in this case jetpacks) so the thing is... the console doesnt have enough "intelligence" to understand that the other one is jumping because its alredy thinking that the other guy in on the ground... so bassically its a missunderstanging of the procesor XD

This is caused by a programming error where there is a special assassination for someone with the sword on the ground, but there is no special assassination in the air. Since there is none for aerial combat with a sword, it glitches and performs the default air assassination for the victim but does the act for both people.

Short Version:

there is no designed air assassination with a sword so it glitches
