a big issue is that if you cut off air flow from going back behind the box you would be wayyyyy louder. higher end equipment also but i think if you take care of that you would see a huge increase in output

Next setup though just need to port and get some serious subs in there lanzar optidrive line isn't bad go for 350 a piece though.

@jessebassmaster Lanzar has some great stuff but you have to get the Opti Drive line....dont buy there Vibe line because that 6k amp will not make you happy.....

Actually, to back up kocheric, the setup is correct. It's a tough design to master, but done right, this setup can give you amazing response and spl at the same time. It looks different cuz you cant see the inside. It has a huge compression chamber which is why the subs are allowed to play through their designed frequencies. The multiple subs being used allows this setup to have a great flat response within the design specs for music purposes.

@dd5k well first of all this will be way more powerful than 2 kicker crv 12's because those aren't good subs at all (in my opinion, you have the right to what you think). and a true system is not based wholly upon the subs and amp that you get, it is more to do with the install that you do. even the cheapest subs and amps will sound great if you know what you're doing. i would much rather spend the 500 dollars on this type of system than the 320 on 2 subs that sound horrible. i'm not disagreeing
Why are most commentators so haters. Look at most speaker videos and most everybody is an expert. I would have chosen this, that is much better, my system sounds so much better. Stop hatin' and simply appreciate the systems, good or bad, just keep it to yourselves.
SSL amps are garbage. 5000.1 is only running off 120 A worth of fuses. so you're getting MAX 1400 RMS per amp. that is if those amps are 100% efficient. which they are definately not. i have a true 2000 watt RMS amp that will kill one of those. get better amps
it's not the power from the batteries it's the power the amps deliver... if you have a 1000 peak amplifier and a 2000 peak sub then you can still get a ton more power into those speakers... you're gonna get the same amount of power from the batteries no matter how many you hook up

oh yeah those things really hit when you get enough power behind them because i have a 2 channel 4000 watt lanzar amp(works great) and it's pretty amazing the power you get out of them

try about 8,000 to 10,000...these subs are pretty cheap compared to other brands out there that can handle around 2,000 watts each...not everyone can afford those subs so they work with what they have...this system prolly wouldn't be possible with some of the big brand companies just due to sheer price of the subs
for what he payed on all those subs, the batteries, and shitty amps, he could have gotten 1 or 2 nice subs that arent shit, and a nice amp to match it... gaurentee if he built a nice box it would be better than them lanzars...

@superclub971 i 2nd this to the max kicker is junk i had six cvr 15 in a tahoe with a built to spec box and it only did 151.8 put six type rs in the same box with the same power 154.2 3 db jump on subs on alone!!! good job man keep up your work and get this thing on a mic soon!!!

@babydonald44 now i will say that kicker makes 1 good sub and that is the solo x... but if you're going to spend that money why not spend it on something that has the loudness but also quality with it... a friend of mine has 2 solo x 15's in his ford explorer and they are loud as hell but sound like shit... i mean i love bass in any way but i love GOOD bass and plus kicker's only good sub requires 10000 watts just to start the amp will cost a fortune and overall not worth it what do you think

@superclub971 3 of these amps just this year model... dont laugh at be but i only have one extra bat stock alt and stock wires under the hood... ;) shit pounds tho... its 2:11 am here in mn and my truck right now is in the shop gettin the under hood wires upgraded to 0 gauge up graded alt and 3 batts and stinger even that batts...

@superclub971 they dont have a clear sound i would defently go with Ascendant, FI, or RE over kicker my first system i had was 2 pyle 15 and if you know pyle they are some of the cheepest you can get i have 3 friends with kickers i destroyed all of them and i had a prefab box

@dd5k no offense intended but if you're going to call me wrong, read the comments i've left before. i said that this is a great system "FOR THE PRICE" he chose to spend his money this way and got cheap subwoofers. this is a 75 to 100 dollar subwoofer and you're trying to compare it to a 300 to 600 dollar subwoofer. i understand what you're saying but please think about what you're saying before you say it this is a great setup and a great install and there's no denying it

@dd5k well first of all this will be way more powerful than 2 kicker crv 12's because those aren't good subs at all (in my opinion, you have the right to what you think). and a true system is not based wholly upon the subs and amp that you get, it is more to do with the install that you do. even the cheapest subs and amps will sound great if you know what you're doing. i would much rather spend the 500 dollars on this type of system than the 320 on 2 subs that sound horrible. i'm not disagreeing

SSL amps are garbage. 5000.1 is only running off 120 A worth of fuses. so you're getting MAX 1400 RMS per amp. that is if those amps are 100% efficient. which they are definately not. i have a true 2000 watt RMS amp that will kill one of those. get better amps

it's not the power from the batteries it's the power the amps deliver... if you have a 1000 peak amplifier and a 2000 peak sub then you can still get a ton more power into those speakers... you're gonna get the same amount of power from the batteries no matter how many you hook up

oh yeah those things really hit when you get enough power behind them because i have a 2 channel 4000 watt lanzar amp(works great) and it's pretty amazing the power you get out of them

try about 8,000 to 10,000...these subs are pretty cheap compared to other brands out there that can handle around 2,000 watts each...not everyone can afford those subs so they work with what they have...this system prolly wouldn't be possible with some of the big brand companies just due to sheer price of the subs

it all biols down to what your personal prefrence is...i do see your point..but you gotta think about how much air he's moving with those 8 15's i know there not the best ever but 8 of 'em is moving a ton of air around....so i guess it'd be safe to say that he's got loud and insane bass as oppose to clear and nice sounding bass...i could go either way on the matter so i see your point and aslo don't mind seeing this system

oh yea dont get me wrong... the box and the craftsmanship is amazing.. takes a bit of skill to design a box like that... and you might be right on the air movement... I guess If it were my money i would just rather buy somthing smaller so i could still have those back seats and have just as loud bass.... maybe not as eye catching or "cool:" as this set up, but definitely still good....
