As for the deficit, they made a huge error in the stimulus. It wasn't anything more than a bloated spending bill that was all over the map in it's targeting. It balooned the deficit also. What they did was like pouring gasoline on a brushfire. And they just keep digging.

You're missing the entire point. I'll use healthcare reform for an example. When the Baucus bill came out there were sections of it I read myself about the large penalties attached for individuals who fail to abide by the mandate and purchase insurance. They even posted the entire bill on Foxnews to read. CNN on the other hand didn't, nor did they make issue of the mandate penalties. They just applauded the bill without question. Those penalties are in the bill that just passed the house.

Everyone is aware of the unemployment statistics--a lot of tied in greed and the derivatives market. Health care and lack of it is a big issue, especially for those who are out of work and suffer health problems, those individuals need help. Why would I or anyone care about private insurance companies?
Insurance companies have posted increased profits in the last 4 years, in an economic downturn. How is that possible, especially in lieu of the fact that the denial of coverage had gone up each subsequent year and I'm supposed to feel sorry that the government wants to offer a public option because it costs a lot? Poor insurance companies would be forced to lower premiums or face possibly going out of business and that's a great thing.
The deficit was there when he took office and the markets were in such bad shape already, did you reasonably think it would take less than a year to climb out of this? Unemployment was high, foreclosures at a record high because of those job losses, health problems increase as a result of being out of work. Those individuals need help, that's where empathy plays a part. Retraining these individuals for high skill jobs helps to strengthen the economy in the long term.
There is a clear difference between empathizing with the reasons that most people want to be here, as opposed to supporting illegal immigration. Lou seems to lack compassion and understanding relative to those reasons. I am a citizen but naturalized as I had immigrated here as a child. Most of the people who come here are attempting to take care of there children and families back home where they live in poverty, if you can't empathize with that then we're two different types of individuals.

As for time, I do expect it to do what they said it would, which was halt umemployment at 8 percent and create 4 million jobs. Oh, wait. They later changed that statement to 3 million jobs, then changed it again to 3 million jobs saved or created. Now, I have to go, lunchtime is over. :)

As for the deficit, they made a huge error in the stimulus. It wasn't anything more than a bloated spending bill that was all over the map in it's targeting. It balooned the deficit also. What they did was like pouring gasoline on a brushfire. And they just keep digging.

You're missing the entire point. I'll use healthcare reform for an example. When the Baucus bill came out there were sections of it I read myself about the large penalties attached for individuals who fail to abide by the mandate and purchase insurance. They even posted the entire bill on Foxnews to read. CNN on the other hand didn't, nor did they make issue of the mandate penalties. They just applauded the bill without question. Those penalties are in the bill that just passed the house.

Everyone is aware of the unemployment statistics--a lot of tied in greed and the derivatives market. Health care and lack of it is a big issue, especially for those who are out of work and suffer health problems, those individuals need help. Insurance companies have posted increased profits in the last 4 years, in an economic downturn. How is that possible, especially in lieu of the fact that the denial of coverage had gone up each subsequent year and I'm supposed to feel sorry that the government wants to offer a public option because it costs a lot? Poor insurance companies would be forced to lower premiums or face possibly going out of business and that's a great thing.

The deficit was there when he took office and the markets were in such bad shape already, did you reasonably think it would take less than a year to climb out of this? Unemployment was high, foreclosures at a record high because of those job losses, health problems increase as a result of being out of work. Those individuals need help, that's where empathy plays a part. Retraining these individuals for high skill jobs helps to strengthen the economy in the long term.

There is a clear difference between empathizing with the reasons that most people want to be here, as opposed to supporting illegal immigration. Lou seems to lack compassion and understanding relative to those reasons. I am a citizen but naturalized as I had immigrated here as a child. Most of the people who come here are attempting to take care of there children and families back home where they live in poverty, if you can't empathize with that then we're two different types of individuals.

That's his job as a commenter! To pose question and express opinions. Supporters of illegal immigrants are just pissed at Dobbs. ive seen him do news casts about how teh police helps bring drugs in from middle east and mexico. that seems pretty serious. hes talked about how NAFTA, GAT north american union is taking away from american jobs and people just play the race card on him which is bullshit. i dont really like him but hes better then most MAIN STREAM NEWS which is what most get their info about news watches i assume.

We also have millions of people here in the US who are uneducated and have no immediate or long term impact on the economy because they have low skilled jobs, they don't pay much in the way of taxes. These individuals drain our system irrespective of residential status. I'm not a conspiracy theorist like say Glenn Beck who rattles on about all those issues you've mentioned, none of it substantive.

Millions of people here in the US that are low skilled? Is that what they told you? Did they tell you their low skills are in speaking Spanish only? The only people that are paying their fair share of the taxes are the legit workers in this country. Most who employ illegals do it under the table so they aren't obligated to pay taxes them selves. You didn't know that? Been to an ER lately? How about our schools and welfare offices? It's predominately illegals. And our people don't over populate.

Instead of complaining that illegals are taking away good paying jobs from Americans, who we all know wouldn't take these jobs in the first place, why don't you look at blue chip stock companies outsourcing skilled jobs to places such as India, that the US is not a manufacturer of goods as it once was, instead outsourcing those jobs for slave wages in third world countries, so companies like Walmart can thrive. I can go on... the floor is yours.

Oh believe me I have looked at it and so has Lou Dobbs. And do you really believe that made up excuse our people are too lazy to do those jobs? That was intended to be an excuse for a reason to hire them, but some people being those who were misplaced in the job market quickly recognized as a pure outright lie. I know better I've done those jobs their talking about and it is a complete lie. Both the out sourcing and the illegals were a way for the greedy to screw us. And screw us they did.

I'm not sure who this "us" is that you're describing but Lou was looking out for those who subscribe to his ideology of what America is and should be, we don't all share the same sentiment and it doesn't make "us" any less American than Lou.
