  • @MrAMMiranda Yes there teeth are like sandpaper.

  • Son-Of-A-Bitc* :-) Got 3 Good Catfish.....and an arrowhead too :-)

  • is there anyway to know that there is something else in a hole besides a fish? i would hate to run into a snapping turtle.

  • @sikwitit18 The hole will be smooth on the bottom of the hole, The catfish belly will keep it smooth.

  • @tim3jones oh ok. thnx. i always wondered about that. great video!!!

  • This was so great to watch I wish I had moments like that with my father...you have good sons. Great video.

  • Ever put your hand into a hole with a den of water Moccasin Snakes? Or have a biting beaver to Chow down onto your hand?

  • @haeema I have feel a lot of snake's under the water and beaver's to, Have not been bit.

  • In Tennessee we call that "Graveling". Lot of it went on in the creeks and rivers in the old days; used to have an uncle who did it, and I remember the catfish were so big that they almost made a complete circle in the bottom of a clothes wash tub.

Haven't heard of anyone doing it in many years.

  • you guys are hardcore! awesome video!

  • Can you noodle flatheads year round or is it only during the spawn???

  • @DSVetDad We noodle has long as the water is warm, when it get's cold we stop.

  • Does this work for smaller streams with clear water?

  • @ChessMH yes in hole's in the bank of the clear water and under big rock's.

  • Not hatin on ur shit. And I wanna see some 60s I had one in a hole but no1 would help me block holes

  • great video man. how would you know if it's either a beaver, snapping turtle or cat livin in the hole or brush pile?? lol

  • @FishboiFishboi When i put my hand in a hole in a bank i feel the bottom of the hole and if it is smooth there's a catfish in the hole, If not smooth i leave it alone, In bush pile's i have felled beaver and turtles then i moved a way.

  • @tim3jones

ahh i see. i gotta try this sometime then lol thanks for the tip

  • @FreeBird1108 I go noodling in tell the water get to cold.

  • I just gave noodlin a try for the first time last week. Can't seem to find em. Any pointers on finding good areas? Only found a few holes

  • First time ive seen this kinda fishing, very interesting video.many thanks.

  • Hey tim..I've been hand fishing for awhile now, mostlry out of big rocks and holes...what's ur trick to getting them out of brush piles?

  • @soonerbred22 To get catfish out of brush piles you need to go slow and feel around then when you feel a catfish grab and hold on tricky at first but you will get one.

  • in the modern days i prefer to wear chain gloves with some shrimp chunks under my glove.

  • @RiptN3rd some people wear gloves when they go noodling for flathead catfish.

  • Im pretty sure I saw you on a television program last week.It was in Oklahoma, and they were holding a noodleing tournament there. There was some good sized cats shown and alot of people were involed in the contest. Was it you I saw on that program??

  • @porchfinder I don't go to that noodling tournament , I have been on the news here for Noodling big catfish. Tim

  • I dont get how do u noodle i wanna know how do u do it do u put food in ure hand or something

  • @MultiCasio123 Noodlers search for likely catfish hideouts inside submerged logs, fallen trees, under rocks or in holes in banks in creeks or rivers. Catfish make their nests where they feel safe. During spawning season,In spring, Hands only.

  • wow!!!!! thats a big fish man!!!

  • It's nice to watch a man teaching his sons how to be real human beings. Thanks for the great video. It is one of my top 10 of all time. I never heard of 'noodling before, but I like what I see. I assume there is no danger from the beavers even though you are close to or invading there homes. I've never been near beaver dams so I don't know much about them. God Bless you.

  • @wmdrtr Thank you, We love to go Noodling of big flat head cat fish and have a big fish fry, The beaver hole i was in was a old beaver hole, God bless.

  • looks fun. too bad I'm from Minnesota and up here we mainly do bass fishin but IF i were to do this, let's say on a beaver hole or something, what should I do first?

  • @FishboiFishboi The beaver hole was a old beaver hole the catfish was spawning in,Noodlers search for likely catfish hideouts -- inside submerged logs, fallen trees, under rocks or in mud banks. Catfish make their nests where they feel safe. During spawning season

  • @tim3jones oh yeah.. what about turtles? have you ever been in a situation of a turtle bite?

I typically don't like watching the real long videos, but your videos keep me captivated. Thanks for the tip about the oil on the catfishes belly. That's something I learned from ya, for sure. If you ever make it to the Kansas City, Missouri area, I'd love to hit a river with ya!

  • @MLBRENIZER Thank you Matt, when we pole fish and get sting my a small catfish we use catfish belly oil to take the sting away it work's good, if i get up that way i will.
