In Tennessee we call that "Graveling". Lot of it went on in the creeks and rivers in the old days; used to have an uncle who did it, and I remember the catfish were so big that they almost made a complete circle in the bottom of a clothes wash tub.

Haven't heard of anyone doing it in many years.

@FishboiFishboi When i put my hand in a hole in a bank i feel the bottom of the hole and if it is smooth there's a catfish in the hole, If not smooth i leave it alone, In bush pile's i have felled beaver and turtles then i moved a way.

@soonerbred22 To get catfish out of brush piles you need to go slow and feel around then when you feel a catfish grab and hold on tricky at first but you will get one.

It's nice to watch a man teaching his sons how to be real human beings. Thanks for the great video. It is one of my top 10 of all time. I never heard of 'noodling before, but I like what I see. I assume there is no danger from the beavers even though you are close to or invading there homes. I've never been near beaver dams so I don't know much about them. God Bless you.
