  • Coach Broz, how much time, on average, do you spend coming up with these witty remarks to the comments of your viewers? Or are you a genius and come up with the right thing to say instantaneously?

  • @ajwazhere I don't spend any, but I wouldn't call it genius. Its a byproduct of growing up in the ghetto where dealings with ignorant, thoughtless, brain dead people are as routine as walking. My patience for illiteracy became exhausted. Every minute some airheads mouth (now in this case fingers) move faster then their brains and stupidity spews out. It became a reflex to respond with sarcasm. I challenged myself to offend them without them being aware so I could laugh more later (and not die).

  • does gravity exists where this awsome gym is placed? :D

  • Very smooth!

  • damn, nice

  • ---using door pull up bar.

  • @Leezy730 Overhead squats, shrugs, any heavy pulls, but performing snatches is the best way to get a "higher snatch" as you put it.

  • @BROZKNOWS What BB exercises are going to correlate to a higher snatch?

  • @Leezy730 not sure if this is a serious question

  • @natarem I think it was serious because Broz commented about having Josh do some BBing (to bulk up and fit into 62 better)

  • Well...there goes my "they're all just getting lower than me" excuse...

  • awesome lift. eagerly awaiting a vid of his next full snatch PR.

  • such a beautiful lift

  • Coach what do you think about lifters wearing long sleeve and long leg compression clothing in between training sessions? I was told that the compression material helps the muscles recover more quickly, but just wanted to see if you had heard anything about this or seen any benefits from this type of recovery method? Thanks

  • @hzlwdcntrlftbll my experience is that muscles need to be sore to recover. By reducing the symptons, the muscles don't fully recover and are more prone to injury.

  • speechless. strong strong strong kid. wow

  • Ignore my last comment about not going low, sorry!

  • Is there a reason he didn't go as low as Pat and Rob do? Personally i have trouble getting low on the snatches and keeping my balance, should i practise like this?

  • Longer videos?

  • Is there any books you recommend reading for learning the lifts and routines?

  • what was rob doing with the 170 on the bar in front of josh?

  • this guy is getting strong fast. i remember seeing him do 85 not long ago.

  • when performing heavy singles of an exercise , how much rest do lifters generally take between thier sets ? is this highly personal ?

This guy josh gilbert has seemed to have gotten much much stronger over time while gaining virtually no bodyweight. Is he paying special attention to his diet specifically to avoid any type of weight gain ? Or is he just eating whatever and the bodweight status is a coincidence ?

  • @FieldBoy111 I weigh each lifter at least 2x/day. Nothing is by coincidence.

  • @BROZKNOWS Is that morning and night? If so, what is the significance of each weight? Also when going into competition, if I don't lift till later in the day should I not eat so I can weight in as light as possible or just go about my regular eating habits?

  • @misztal2112

Haven't done a lifting comp but generally weigh-ins for weight class sports are days before the actual event.

  • @BROZKNOWS you didnt answer Fielboy111 question....when performing heavy singles of an exercise , how much rest do lifters generally take between thier sets ? is this highly personal ?....thanks

  • How does this guy lift so heavy but not gain any mass?

  • @AduhAwas to add pounds of actual muscle mass, not just water or glycogen, takes a while.

  • @BROZKNOWS Also myofibrillar hypertrophy's much slower than sarcoplasmic right? I notice there's no bar complex work in your gym though it's fairly common youtubing other olympians, even at the top level. Personal preference?

  • is the only difference between a snatch and a power snatch the position where you catch it? (you catch it higher in the power snatch)

  • @mhsu611 yes - anything above parallel is a power movement

  • GJDM

  • Oh hell yea!! He is getting strong!

  • could you show some of your guyses power workouts? or is this what you do basically to get stronger?

  • I think he is going to be a 69kg lifter in the near future. I wonder if he will hit the 150/180kg numbers as a 69....would be siiiiiiiiiiick for the US

  • @snatch147at85 staying 62.

  • fuuuuuuck!! just as we were progressing kinda the same he goes and does this!! noo haha

  • Motherfucker...

  • do any of your guys train once a day every day and still make good progress?

  • @dasztanga sure. JJ is doing 1x/day now - with an occasional 2x.

  • @BROZKNOWS I've noticed there is no celebration from any of your guys after their lifts. is it because this isn't a meet?

  • @JordanMitch No, it's because it's not the goal. When goals are reached then you can rejoice. Until then, its biz as usual.

  • put 30 pounds on his power snatch in 3 months....thats nuts..

  • Josh is on a roll!!

  • is this his heaviest? or just a warm up?

  • seems like his right leg always bows out farther than the left

do you care about symmetry when it comes to that type of thing?

  • @masterstupidity I do very much and it's high on the priority list - right behind successful attempts.
