I don't think he auditioned for Kiss cause I heard a story that Eric Carr was the 1st drummer who auditioned and they liked him so much that they didn't even look at another drummer. I heard either Gene or Paul say that. Carr (RIP) was a real solid Rock Drummer but this guy is another level up. I know it's hard to believe they would only audition one drummer but if you look into it you will find out for yourself.

The thing that he absolutely kills it on here (and this is one thing that the vast majority of drummers who are posting home vids on here don't get) is dynamics.

And the cool innovations that I haven't seen anywhere else are those "all over" sweeps on the cymbals where he kind of acrobatically hits almost piece of brass alloy on his kit in about a second and a half.
