  • awesome drumming, best of the best.

is this live show on DVD? damn sure gonna buy it if it is

  • a MONSTER player if there ever was one....great technique and old school chops.....a very UNDERATED musician....

  • SUPER

  • F*cking awesomE! Won me over with this Bonzo kit and tuning. Great playing man, fucking hell

  • Vinny Appice on drums!!!!!!!

  • He has more CHINS than a Chinese phone book.

  • man he is good

  • Bobby is THE BEST ! ! !

  • Looks like Bobby hasn't missed a meal. I mean beat.

  • He is just superb. Absolutely fantastic. You can't not like this guy.

  • Saw him live when he played with blue oyster cult amazing drummer he even gave me one of his drum sticks

  • Holy S#*T - BOBBY ROCKS ! ! !

  • moby dick ???

  • From about 2 minutes is awesome.

  • Well, I'm definitely not a matching grip and double bass guy, nevertheless I liked this solo . Thumb up and hat off to Bobby

  • Bobby Rondinelli and Tommy Aldridge, two of the best hard rock drummers I have ever heard!

  • Bobby is one of the greatest; bonzo, cozy, carmine, paizey....

  • Yeah! I met this guy! I learned alot about double bass drumming @ his drum clinic a few weeks ago... He's a real nice guy too!

  • Hi Bobbie (remember me? Lara from North California), just wanted to say I'm thinking about you today, in light of Dio's passing. Hope you're taking it ok!!!

  • Thunder and Powerful!!!!

  • Damn tasteful solo there.

  • SMOKIN !!

  • he is my drum teacher. he tells me stories when he recorded some album with the scorpians they didnt put his name on the back because he wasnet german.... it was the album with rock you like a hurricain

  • Hey Litcheur

    I saw him in 81.

Do you remeber him glancing sticks off his ride cymbal into the crowd like a machine gun fire?

  • wow

  • Saw him with Ritchie's Rainbow waaay back in '82 and again in '89 with Doro. Great drummer he was and still is.

  • The chubby dude plays some serious drums

    =o

  • Bobby Rondinelli is an excellent drummer. I saw him 4 times with Blue Oyster Cult and he was awesome.

  • Bobby didn't get the 'KISS' gig because he couldn't sing.

  • Yeah man!

He could sing, but Carr's vocals were better

  • I don't think he auditioned for Kiss cause I heard a story that Eric Carr was the 1st drummer who auditioned and they liked him so much that they didn't even look at another drummer. I heard either Gene or Paul say that. Carr (RIP) was a real solid Rock Drummer but this guy is another level up. I know it's hard to believe they would only audition one drummer but if you look into it you will find out for yourself.

  • He auditioned for KISS when Peter left,Eric Carr was better I guess...

  • Nice cymbal work!

  • Awesome drummer. Love his work with Black Sabbath.

  • The way he handled Cross purposes.. he's a pro, just plain sounds Excellent ! you can say all you want about how he rates..what he might be lacking & whats wrong with whatever...he's pretty together in my book.

  • Comment removed

  • he's one of the best around , also a GREAT sounding kit

  • Dude's toms sound friggin' HUGE!

  • he was gidget gein's drummer!!

  • Bobby's the real deal. All levels of drummers should check him out.

  • Bobby you are the best xx Debra

  • i also saw him at the ct drum show amazing drummer

  • I saw him in CT on 4/19 as well...Awesome talent !! He signed my '67 Supraphonic

  • Just saw him at a clinic today. ALL ABOUT THE RUDIMENTS.

  • The drumming rock greats have the rudiments mastered. They have great finesse, talk better and their dynamics are amazing!!! It's not all crash & bash!!

  • i like his perm

  • very powerful, dynamic drummer. i saw him with blue oyster cult a few tiems and let me just tell, this guy comes loaded for bear! an old favorite.

  • I really appreciate this man's drumming...after all, he's up there- I am not!!

  • this guy makes dave grohl look like a little btch

  • A lot of people make Dave Grohl look like a bitch.

  • The thing that he absolutely kills it on here (and this is one thing that the vast majority of drummers who are posting home vids on here don't get) is dynamics.

And the cool innovations that I haven't seen anywhere else are those "all over" sweeps on the cymbals where he kind of acrobatically hits almost piece of brass alloy on his kit in about a second and a half.

    Very cool!

  • (bronze btw) but i agree totally, he's amazing with his dynamics. great accents, what really caught me at first was the way he does that quick, simple tom roll and kind of sweeps his sticks to the side while he hits double bass. just kind of a theatric flair, catches your attention.

  • nothing special!! Bill Ward, John Bohann, Ian Paice...

  • booby rondinelli is my drum teacher!!

  • OK Awsome - but listen and listen very very careful. You will hear so much Neil Peart influence here!!! Actual rifs and lead in an out of rythums that are ALL NEIL!!!

  • Awesome solo! Not too long, but enough to show off a lot of his tricks. Bobby is an under-appreciated master of the kit.

  • si, mucho solo de batería y tal..... pero amigo rondinelli...... tengo que decir que cuando te pones a tocar suenas un poco "rarito"

  • yeahh!!Bobby Rondinelli!!!!!!!

BUT BONHAM IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!THE BEST!!!

  • bohnam sloppy

  • I HATE drum solos, but Bobby and Bohnam are killer rock drummers that i LOVE!! Simple, big beats, solid time... Jerk off drummers pay attention...This is good, you aren't.

  • I saw him with Blue Oyster Cult several years back. First time I had heard of him and he rocked. Was playing Fibes drums at the time and they sounded awesome.

  • i love this style of drumming, better than all that vinnie colleuta bollocks

  • This was 5 months ago,but...Is this joke?

  • I`m proud to say that I now own that kit!

  • tried to talk to him at the namm show he seemed a little taken with him self.

  • Bobby has an awesome myspace page, is now playing with a band called CODA who, I think, are a zep tribute. Nice guy too.

  • yeah, Bobby is one of the best.

  • OLD SCHOOL IS THE BEST , DRUMMERS LIKE BOBBY RONDINELLI,COZY POWELL,IAN PAICE,BARRYMORE BARLOW,MARK CRANEY,DENNY CARMASSI,TOMMY ALDRIDGE,ALLEN WHITE,NEIL PEART,BRIAN DOWNEY,LEE KERSLAKE.THOSE NEW WANT TO BE DRUMMERS LIKE TRAVIS BARKER,DAVE GROHL,TAYLOR HAWKINS AND BANDS LIKE PEARL(jam)CREAM,NIRVANA (thank god he's gone)AND THE REST OF THE 90s and beyond ,ARE A JOKE

  • RTZ707 You are 99% Right every one of them except for Tommy Aldridge Sorry thats my personal opinion.

  • You know what real rock n roll music is,WOW no tommy, one of the best still playing (black oak arkansas, pat travers, ozzy, whitesnake)listen to 1979 pat travers (go for what you know)or the new live whitesnake dvd 2006.

  • TOMMY ALDREDGE SHREDS

  • i subscribe to your comment, but i think i will add JOHN BONHAM to the list. GROHL (not with Nirvana) and HAWKINS are good, let's face it...

  • bonham, is at top IMO.

  • I love this guy. great chops and he still rocks, but old school. Very tasteful stuff and not that my mommy didn't love me I'm angry rock.

  • Perfect drummer.period.
