  • The last 'Stonehenge Free Festival' was in fact in 1984, there wasn't a gathering in 1985, as all factions were suppressed and many were locked away on false charges! The 'Battle of the Beanfield' wasn't actually at Stonehenge, but in a Bean Field and it wasn't really a 'battle' more like people trying to get away from Thatcherist Thugs who were smashing up people's Homes, (the waggons,) and bashing as many 'Hippies' as they could lay hnads on.......

  • Yes, although there wasn't a gathering at the Stones in 1985 there was meant to be one and that is what the Battle of the Beanfield was all about. For more on this try getting your hands on John Michell's rare and largely unknown work on the Stonehenge Free Festival published as part of his Radical Traditionalist Series of pamphlets back in 1985.

  • Alternatively check out the Free Stonehenge Campaign literature or old copies of 'The New Instant'....Schnews before Schnews from the paper that couldn't be bought.....
