I'd say the top cartilage hurt more than the side but everyone has different pain tolerances. The healing process hurts when you mess with it or you knock. Next month I should hopefully be getting the bar (:

I went to this place called Friendship an got mine done.. sadly there was no time to cry.. after words there were a bunch of pretty studly guys around saying what a bad ass I was.. an so I say go for it.. the pain only hurts the when you sleep on it.. until it heals.. after words its awesome.

Yeah it really didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would or as bad as some of my other piercings but the healing process took forever but I really love it now.

This is one piercing I can honestly say didn’t give me any trouble. I absolutely LOVE it, but I don’t think it’s for people who have a low pain tolerance. I’ve had mine down for a couple months now. The woman who pierced me didn’t clamp my ear. She just stuck the needle through. It honestly didn’t hurt anything like I thought it would. I made my best friend, who was in the room with me, and my piercer crack up laughing. They told me I had this look on my face like “What the heck?" Haha. :)

mine i id say was a 3? ..totally worth it though...take deep breaths when they do it... it hurts more after...dont use alcohol on it or nothing..the piercer will tell you all the rules after
