  • my first rock show when i first saw this band waayy bacck 2003 at the exit fresno calif...together with anberlin (wasn't that famous yet), mewithoutyou, emery and the fighting jacks..headlined by FSF...made my night and fast forward 8yrs after...this band broke up and anberlin becme sooo hugeeeee

  • Watashi wa means I people -_-

  • @BombEver I second that. It simple means "I". As in "Watashi wa Americajin deis" (forgive bad spelling) meaning "I am American". "I AM" would have been something along the lines of "Watashi wa deis".

  • I love this song! it brings me so many things :D

  • Watashi Wa = I Am

  • Kurwa

  • FUCKing WEEabos

  • Am I the only one who remembered Shadow the Hedgehog when I read the title? D=

    However, pretty nice song xD

  • Youtube needs more Lakes and Watashi Wa uploaded to it.

  • XD 2:15 the guy steals from the guitar dude.

  • I'm surprised at how many drumming mistakes that there are in music videos 3:11

  • Watashi wa means "i am......" then you need to finish the sentence which this band must be many things :P

  • Watashi Wa I thought was "My name is..." in Japanese....

  • @doctorshifty83 "My name is..." in Japanese is "Namae wa..."

Not sure about this but "Watashi wa" technically doesn't mean "I am." rather "I am..." . I guess the band meant was "I am."

  • watashi wa is like "I Am" in japanese

  • watashi was is like i am in japanese.

  • How did their name originate?

  • Whats this song about

  • technically "watashi wa" doesn't mean "I AM" but i think that's what they were trying to say in japanese.

  • "Welcome to Tooth & Nail records. Here's your complimentary Music Man Stingray."

  • Went to high school with Lane....total d-bag. Sorry Beerman

  • this song brings back some memories...

  • seems nice, not hardcore enough like they used to be

  • OMG!!! that is my naighborhood, i live right by tweeds cafe! lol

  • i can't get this song out of my mind, it's so cool, thank God I came a cross with it, i even hear it when i'm sleep LOL, hey if any of you speak spanish and like real christian punk christ-centered i would recommend you to listen to METAMORFFOSIS and the songs alisse, quisiera, escrito en las estrellas, they are doing great thing for God and they are from el salvador but sound very americans and their beat and rhythm

  • Thank you for metioning that!

I looked them up and I really liked them thank you.

It's actually hard to find spanish christian rock, so thank very much.

  • @hebefeso

    dude try Mosquito Farm

    similar to metamorfosis :D

    bendiciones :D

  • @krustonia I know bro in many of their videos I have commented that they along with metamorffosis are the best punk rock bands in central america, wow, mosquito farm really rocks, I've kept track of them since their early beginning. Do u know where in the internet could i find the song they released in english call '' the one '', I've been looking for it, esta buenisima.

  • They were a Christian band.

  • waht do u mean '' they were a christian band"?did they fall away o what? aren't they christians anymore?

  • I don't think they are band anymore, that's why i put they were. Hopefully they haven't backslid in their lives.

  • i kinda read that they were playing with a different name, but wow! this song is awesome, good beat, great melody, nice rhythm, i think the song talks about jesus, giving himself up to die for us, and kinda saying here am i, take me i'll bleed for u :).

  • They were playing under the name of Eager Sea's but tooth and nail i think made them change their name back.

  • They did break up, my dads friends with the lead singer, the broke up and started a new band, but i dont remember what its called

  • Yeah they broke up and Seth and Lane started a band called Eager Sea's but then they released a cd called "Eager Sea's" under Watashi Wa if i'm not mistaken.

  • @1thess523 they were forced to release it under Watashi Wa cus they had a 2 album contract with tooth and nail.

  • @Watashifuckingwa it is called Lakes

  • @Watashifuckingwa Lakes.

  • Why did someone give me a bad grade, they were a Christian band!

  • did you know "watashi wa" mean "i am" in japanese wtf???

  • I think it's a reference to God "I AM". When God was talking to Moses and God told Moses to go tell the Isrealites that He would get them out of Eygpt and Moses said who shall I say sent me. God said tell them "I AM" sent you.

  • @1thess523

Watashi Wa does NOT mean I AM (JHWH),

If it was I AM it would be Watashi desu.

Watashi Wa means 'About me' or 'Concerning me'

    It's common phrase in Japanese.

for example: 'Watashi wa nihonjin desu' means literally: 'About me, Japan-person be.' in proper english. I am Japanese.

or: 'Watashi wa Sientje-San aisuru'. It means 'About me, ms. Sientje love' in proper english that'd be: I'm in love with Sientje (Thats my girlfriend btw XD)

    God's bless

  • @acie1606 , ok thanks, i got that from the band so maybe they didn't get the translation right.

  • @1thess523

    Nice song btw ;)

  • watashi wa-s. Where did they go? They were phenomenal.

  • This is a really good, catchy song. Great vibe. Hadn't heard it in like 5 years

  • in love with this song. almost forgot about it

  • all it takes is a japanese sentence fragment and the otaku crew comes out full force!

has anyone notices there's a song playing here? it's kind of catchy, eh?

  • More like weeaboo....

  • them too :-)

  • estos videos son de la iglesia?????

  • Drummer show off around 3:00 ,haha.

  • I dont get it...

    Watashi wa....

    Means "I am" in Japanese

and none of them are japanese...o.O?

  • That's what I said. (: I was a little confused when I heard their name.

  • i mean like...

    are they part jap?

    or a japanese fan?...

    add more detail...

  • How about who cares? It's a name, dude.

  • i mean yea its

    just a name

    but names count too....

u dont want just some gay ass name

lol names hafta be cool too~

  • Actually, Watashi wa just means "I" in Japanese :'D

  • errr isnt the

    wa an "am"

  • No, "desu" is "am". Wa just makes it a personal pronoun. Sorry, I didn't mean to nitpick D:

  • desu isnt "am" hahaha...

anata wa chotto baka desu ka?

    (are you a little stupid?")

where's the "am" in this sentence? lol im sorry

but "watashi wa" is like "speaking of me" or "as for me"

watashi wa keeki o yakimashita yo.

Speaking of me, i made a cake.

  • I studied Japanese for two years before I quit, and I'm pretty sure "Desu" means "To be".

  • It's okay, he's a weeaboo, you're a higher form of life than he is. And if it's a girl it might as well be a he, I've got 20 bucks on that.

  • XD Why thank you. That comment absolutely made my day :D

  • 'wa' makes the word or phrase before it the subject of the sentence

  • wapanese maybe
